just visited the shop and exhibition.The shop was disappointing really. Not as much as a local shop . Prices not really so competitive. The exhibition is a little bit lacking terms of explanation.
They could really make more of the factory and that this is all made in the UK. Could do with a bit of marketing.

An absolute gem and must visit place in Devon! We thought that we would only be on the site for a couple of hours, but ended up spending a whole day here! The model railways are permanently set up and the attention to detail on these is fantastic. We went round them at least twice and saw more and more each time. The gardens are spacious and welcoming. Plenty of play areas for little ones. The cafe was open but the restaurant was not when we visited. There were no clear signs about where we could pay for a go at the mini golf sadly. It looked like it was the main restaurant (which was shut) as the clubs were outside here. The narrow gauge railway was running and is a fantastic ride. The train goes around the entire garden complex before heading through a tunnel under the car park into another set of gardens. All this goes on while overlooking the Jurassic Coast. We visited on a very sunny and clear day and could see Portland Island in the very far distance.

Great location and family to enjoy great views of the sea great cafe and model shop and crazy golf I am looking forward to coming here on Friday morning and the train was so fun and the model railway experience was so great nice and friendly staff

What a hidden gem ! We were a mixed group of 5 adults of different ages and a dog... and there was something for all of us! We loved the ride-on train and secret garden. The staff were so friendly and the pasties delicious. Well worth a visit.

An excellent place to visit with very friendly and helpful staff. Lots for the kids to do. Nice grounds.
If you visit the model railway exhibition just be aware in an emergency one of the emergency exit door has an additional "U" bolt to remove in addition to the push bar.

Ok for toddlers or older train enthusiasts.
Lots of play parks for younger children, flowers for garden enthusiasts and the model train layouts are worth a look.
Not much there for teenagers and you only get one ride on the train which is a bit tight.
Slightly expensive for what’s there but you can kill 2-3hours here.

Thoroughly enjoyed a return visit having brought our children 20 years ago. The gardens have been vastly improved and were a delight to wander through. Still a great place for younger children. Just a shame that you can only ride the trains once with your entrance ticket.
After leaving remember to turn right to the model railway hall, this is wonderful and well set out with a variety of examples of different sized layouts

Beautiful gardens with hidden surprises , long twisty train ride and views across the bay like something from an Enid Blyton story = Big broad smiles. “Paper City” was a big hit despite ostensibly being just a table, crayons and some colouring sheets (sheets were actually scored to aid folding which was a nice touch). Outdoor games area could have used some instructions for less well known games and having table tennis table on raised platform seemed a bit unsafe. Staff were great- particularly in shop, on station and drivers. (Would be nice to see more diversity in roles though) In summary a wonderful place with happy memories for the future. Definitely recommend.

Visited Pecorama an after a 20 year gap and still the same, the beer heights railway still a pleasant ride through the gardens. Staff were friendly and pleasant. The exhibition of layout examples does need updating to how we live today in our houses but it still can show what’s achievable. The shop is well stocked but at rrp prices. If you have an hour or two give it a visit.

I have wanted to visit Pecorama and the Beer Heights Light railway for years and it did not disappoint. The railway was charming and looped around the fantastic gardens . Ideal for families and doggies are welcome. . All the staff were excellent and the views amazing.
Excellent model railways and a good, well stocked model shop selling a lot of 009 and 00 gauge items.
Well worth a visit.

THEY have a few outlets. I have only ever had a cream tea in the Pullman carriage.
Beer is only a few minutes away and have lots of lovely cafes and restaurants.

We are visiting pecorama later this month, can anyone advise on the cheapest way to buy family tickets please? I have noted the website option but wondered if the holiday parks in the area offer discounted tickets? Many thanks.
