‪Just don’t get the point of this place . So little information or guidance available . Seems to be an access route to the beach about an hours walk away. The finca is closed ‬

‪Hidden gem of a museum‬
ספט׳ 2019
‪We parked here to walk down to the necropolis and beach. The car park has space for maybe 30 cars but there is a definite lack of signs. The beach paths are all well signposted and the different routes well marked but the Finca itself seems a bit of an after thought.
After spending a while at the necropolis we headed back and the sight of the visitor centre was most welcome. We had a wash and then a water before going to look at the museum. This is very poorly signposted to actually notice it but was really very good. It has obviously had a lot of money spent on it and showed both Bronze Age life for the original inhabitants (that built the necropolis) and then a large section on 19th/20th century rural life in Mallorca.
The visitor centre actually has a couple of staff but I'm not sure what they do. The drinks machines are all automated, obviously and very good value. Decent and clean toilets too. I feel that with more promotion a lot more could be made of this site.‬

‪I have only visited once but the area is beautiful. Lots of lush trees and greenery. The walks are peaceful and we even saw a tortoise crossing the path during our visit. Will definitely be back in winter for a walk. ‬

‪Hidden gem‬

‪Wonderful public park which was an old finca. Free admission. Parking on site, mostly in a field so take it carefully with your undercarriage! Several wonderful walks to follow and a great place to walk the dogs or go for a cycle ride too. All walks are sort of impacted gravel so easily accessible with bikes, buggies, wheelchairs etc. There are places to picnic and many of the walks take you through to the coastline and beach with great views across Alcudia Bay. Clean toilets and a little shop/office where you can buy an interesting and great value guide book or pick up one of free maps. There's also an interesting little museum. NOTE: There is no cafe but there are a couple of machines for snacks and drinks in the covered are by the toilets and office/shop. Highly recommended for a free outing and brilliant for families.‬

‪One of My Favorite Places on Earth‬

‪As of today I have been vacationing in Ca’n Picafort five times already and each time I have been visiting Son Real more than once. This is a magnificent place of utmost natural beauty, serenity and bliss. Being a replica of a typical Mideterranian forest it gives so much energy, light, picturesque views and wonderful scents. You may also encounter some wild animals and beautiful birds. The walking paths are very well maintained and are relatively easy for all ages and fitness levels. The mansion, the farm and the museum are also very interesting and definitely worth visiting. Son Real is really dear to my soul, I will be back here again and again.‬

‪Steeped in history‬

‪Cycled here from the main road (Ma-12), so it was a godsend that the building at the entrance of the walking/cycle paths had an ice cold water vending machine. There's a few sheep and pigs near the entrance, and the paths are generally good quality although a little sandy at points. Down by the beach there is the necropolis, which is an ancient burial site. Also a cave further down and other points of interest. Not a spot of litter or graffiti about which was highly impressive for an unguarded historical area.‬

‪A really interesting place if you like History or Natural History‬

‪I walked along the coastline and found this amazing Prehistoric Burial Site, this was so interesting, also great for photographs and shots of waves and rocks. Came across a Prehistoric Cave as well in the Natural Park, but you do have to climb over a ladder, but worth it. ‬

‪SO worth the flight from Exeter for a quick birding break. An easy, 2.65 euro bus trip from Porto Pollensa, a soft and sandy walk along the beach from Can Picafort, and up into the garrigue landscape, home of countless warblers and other firsts for me, like the vicious and beautiful woodchat shrike, pied flycatcher, whinchat, and Sardinian warbler. Hot sun, cool breeze, aqua sea, precious little flowers at the feet...heaven. Particularly appreciated the simple and foolproof markers pointing the way for geographically-challenged idiots like me. Didn't want to leave.‬

‪In a savage region, an old finca, near the beach and old ruins and land parcels; to visit the animals of the finca , like black pic and other sorts, nice old stone house and
ancient walls; nice for a visit.‬
