Although the house was closed for lunch when we got there we had a stroll around the gardens, which were beautifully kept.

If you are near / in Fumel it is worth seeing this small castle located near the office of tourism with a lovely garden (free) it has a great view of the valley that is worth seeing.

I live in Fumel and regularly go up to the Chateau which is a beautiful building with. Very well kept gardens. The view of the river Lot from the different level terraces is breath taking. The gardens are wonderful over th Christmas period. Well worth a visit.

The Castle, which now houses the tourist information centre, is a beautifully restored building, with well kept gardens. On a small hill overlooking the Lot river, the castle offers great views along the river.

A small castle in the for the rest uninspiring gown of Fumel. The chateau has a beautifull view and garden. A nice detour.

A lovely building with beautiful gardens. It has a beautiful view of the Vallee du Lot and River Lot. There are seats and it is a peaceful spot.

Visiting Fumel in July and looking for things to do in the area won’t be hiring a car so will be walking or using public transport what do people reccomend we see and do? Was thinking about a boat trip on the river? Has anyone done the boat trip? Was it expensive? Was it worth the trip? Thanks
