‪In the small church of St. Helena, one can admire the Biblical origin story once “uncensored”. Here are the unique bodies of Adam and Eve, Jesus and co. Presented in terms of gender as it is in reality - namely without leaves and covers - quite naturally. Worth noting and apparently unique 👍‬

‪We leave the splendid Nova Ponente and a fabulous road between meadows and woods takes us to this stupendous mountain church, surrounded by a setting of incomparable enchantment, made up of the imposing and marvelous mountains of the Catinaccio and Latemar. The beautiful façade with a canopy-vestibule and gabled roof overlooks a large square with a large prairie, while in the rear part there is the massive bell tower with a spire roof. On the facade, under the roof, and on the south wall, there are valuable frescoes from the 14th-15th century. The interior, small and with a single nave, is a true triumph of extraordinary 15th century frescoes. In the apse basin there is Christ in Majesty in a mandorla surrounded by the symbols of the four evangelists, while on the wall of the apse the apostles are represented; in the intrados of the Holy Arch, the History of Creation is frescoed in seven panels. The vault of the nave is divided into four large and evocative frescoes, with a starry frame and background, each of which represents an evangelist, his symbol with scroll and biblical quote and a medallion with a Mystery of the Redemption: exceptional and in excellent condition . On the counter-façade there are frescoes of the Annunciation, Martyrdom of San Sebastiano, Sant'Elena and Saints Volfango and Ulrico. On the two side walls, divided into seven large panels, there are frescoes in a poor state of conservation, which represent episodes from the life of Mary and the childhood of Jesus. A small space with a unique, exceptional and precious treasure that leaves you breathless , which enters you indelibly!!! A place, or rather, a small and precious treasure chest embraced by an extraordinary nature. Unmissable, a must visit!!!‬
