This was definitely our favorite activity in Piedmont. Fay, our guide, was awesome. Super knowledgeable, taught us all about the wine, the truffles and the region, and overall just had a great vibe that made for a really pleasant day.
The Truffle dog, Turbo, was a ridiculously good boy. And if your like hiking/being outside, its just a great way to spend an hour hiking around and learning about the truffles, the flora and the culture. Also, typically the truffles are typically founds in shaded valleys, so its a good way to be outside on a hot Piedmont day. If you can, go black truffle season... they're more easily found than the rarer white truffles (Turbo found 5! truffles in an hour), and its fun experience to see the dog go crazy excited when he picks up the scent.
The Barolo Winery felt very small and botique. We liked it a lot better than some of the larger wineries we went to. The tour of the wine cave was just more casual but also more informative, and the tasting just had an awesome family feel where our guide was like "you guys look like you'd like some cheese" and brought out some of the best Parmesan we've had.
All in all in we wanted a tour that felt like a window into Piedmont and it was exactly that. Fay was great, the dog was great, and the wine was great. Highly recommend.

Excellent organization of Truffle hunt in Alba - all in time and communication in advance. Sure, you should adjust your expectations of the event - not all cases ands with real truffle you may find. It depends on the place and the dog. We were lucky - the dog got 3 black truffles! Its just more fun as we were going there without high expecatitions, its more getting experience and knowledge about the process.

Alessandra, our tour guide, was on time and communicated well regarding the meeting point and time. She was very friendly, knowlegable about the region, the towns we visited and the wine growing process in the Barolo area. The views are stunning - vineyards spread over the hillsides with small towns often at the hilltop, established many years ago. We visited La Morra and Barolo - Picturesque towns with a lot of history. Then we travelled to a local winery for a tour of their processing and a wine tasting. Very interesting, thorough descriptions by sommelier Alessandro, and tasty! We thoroughly enjoyed the 4 hour tour - could not have achieved the same by ourselves - and would highly recommend it! Well worth it.

Fantastic Visit to a Winery in Nizza Monferrato. Alessandra was very knowledgeable about the area and about the wines of the region. She took us to a winery, Cascina Perfumo. The vineyard and our hosts there were absolutely delightful. They served us a light lunch which included a variety of wine tastings (ex, Barbera d’Asti, Nizza, Moscato) and also some treats made by our host’s mother- it was so sweet. Truly an unforgettable and special experience. This is the second tour we have booked through Meet Piemonte, and we will be back again.

The tour was absolutely wonderful. Loved the accommodations, food, tours, pace, everything! All very well organized (Marco, you did an amazing job), which we totally appreciated. Will plan to do another Meet Piemonte tour in the future. Highly recommend this tour company.

Very organised - private helicopter flight over alps - pilot was great - tour of village and two vineyards. Food was excellent. Marco was great guide and Chef was amazing. It was an excellent day out and would recommend.

The Trip was everything I imagine ! Awesome ! the best! We had wonderful dinners ! Marco , our tour leader , recommends , restaurants , hotels ,makes phone call for you ,also does a great job at educating us on many things on the tour !

We just returned from the Naples and Amalfi Coast Tour and couldn’t be happier! We witnessed spectacular scenery, cooked with spices that we collected from the mountain side, roamed Atrani in search of the steps from “Ripley”, relaxed on a private boat to Capri, ate and drank the most delicious food and wine and met some amazing people along the way…The small group provided gave a more personalized experience and allowed us to be spontaneous! Marco was an outstanding guide–this clearly is his passion. What an incredible experience, so grateful to Meet Piemonte and Marco. Looking forward to the next adventure with them!

Meet Piedmonte set up a 5 day Food and Wine Tour for me and my husband in Piedmonte. We loved it. It was a great introduction to the region! By going through Meet Piemonte, we had access to a wide variety of dining experiences that allowed us to better understand how food and wine are integrated into the family and community. We sampled a variety Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera and other wines through personalized tours and tastings. Sander, our tour guide was excellent and customized our days to meet our interests. We had clear and timely communication with our tour operator before, during, and after the trip. We’d highly recommend Meet Piedmonte!

Hello! Is it possible to book for 9 people for the truffle tour and wine testing during August.. it seems that the offer cannot accept over 7 people when trying to book.. even though the us rays groups until 15 people!
