"This was such a heartwarming experience!”
We visited Let’s be SMART, a wonderful cat rescue charity (non-profit) located in a beautiful villa with a spacious garden. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by the most adorable cats and dogs, all patiently waiting for their forever homes.
There are many cats to meet from kittens to disabled or retired cats. Some are brothers and sisters, so adopting 2 cats together is also possible. The cats live in a happy home style environment with a TV and comfortable places to sleep and hang out.
The staff were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their work. They took the time to tell us about each animal's personality and needs, making it easy to connect with them.
The shelter itself was clean, well-maintained, and provided a loving and comfortable environment for the animals. The balcony areas and the garden were a highlight, allowing the cats and dogs to enjoy some sunshine and fresh air.
We left feeling incredibly touched by the work of Let’s be SMART. If you're an animal lover, I highly recommend visiting. You might just find your new furry best friend!"
If you would like to adopt a cat, Let's be SMART can arrange that for you. You can also Volunteer help and stay at the shelter.
The cat shelter is about 10 minutes drive from the airport and is easy to park.
We combined our trip with a late lunch at a nearby taverna in Kalivia.
We will be returning and joined the Let's be SMART Patreon program to donate.
