We came here for a family lunch. We were warmly welcomed as well as our dog with Water and treats found for her. The food was delicious. My hubby and I had pirates pie lots of fish in mouthwatering sauce. Son had steak and ale pie, and they made a gluten free pizza for his girlfriend. My daughter had bacon and brie baguette. We were all very satisfied with our meals and would visit her again.

Food was so tasty and the servings were huge! All so fresh including the chips.
New outdoor area with patio heaters is great too. We will be back.
Between us we tried the burgers and pizza and they were all delightful

Called in for sunday dinner, was absolutely lovely, the meat is tender, the cauliflower cheese is one of the nicest I've had, only niggle, only got 1 roast potato?
The only mistake i made was ordering a medium dinner, it was huge, only need a small one next time.

We had to wait to access our holiday cottage ando found this delightful pub with very friendly staff. We ended up visiting this place several times whilst we were on our weeks holiday. The food and service was brilliant. Lots of choice of homecooked food. Nothing too much trouble and if they our are busy they are honest and warn you of the wait. We made use of the board games and cards available to play with and every visit we felt at home. Hopefully they will be there next year when we will visiting again and nothing will have changed.

We were advised to book a table as it can get busy, so glad we did. The food was excellentand very well presented, i had fish and chips best i have had, my wife had surf and turf and mum had the salmon all perfectly cooked. The beer was excellent , good choice and obviously well looked after. Prices were reasonable, a must visit if you are in the area.

We couldn't book as we didn't know what time we would be able to be there. When we arrived the pub tables were all full with drinkers (that's OK it's a pub) and all the food tables were booked, however the landlady said as long as we didn't mind being kicked out when the they needed the table we could hop in and they would feed us. We had 2 lovely meals, hot, tasty and good portions. A decent pint in a dog friendly pub who also value their local drinkers as well as visitors, can't fault them.

The Kelstedge has had a change of owner and is back to its best. The food and beer are good , Its a place I would not hesitate to recommend.

Called in for lunch staff very helpful and friendly welcome doggy too ! There were no other person s in the bar-area when we placed our order yet it took 40 minutes for our meals to arrive (hubby had enjoyed a couple of good ales). More people arrived and were seen to having a long wait as well . Food steak & ale pie ( loads of mixed herbs in). Dried up mash and mushy peas . Bar area seating was light airy and comfortable. Selection of ales were excellent!! Shame the food was poor !
