The place is fantastic , but too croudy and unfortunately too exoensive . When you are there you dont feel welcome

We really enjoyed this private beach, located not too far from where we were staying in Polignano a Mare. The chairs were exceptionally comfortable and the views of the ocean were gorgeous. We enjoyed swimming and also ordered lunch. The food was just ok. Although it is pricey, I would definitely return!
We went in June, which apparently is off season in Puglia. So it was very quiet!

We actually only went for lunch. We got open faced sandwiches with fresh mozzarella, chopped up tomatoes, tons of olive oil and basil on this fabulous brown bread. We were told that the mozzarella and tomato’s had been dunked in the ocean water to add the perfect amount of saltiness. Absolutely Fantastic!!!

We went twice. It’s not cheap (~€70 for two beds, umbrella and a deckchair) but worth every cent! We went on the sandy beach area next to a sheltered cove which the kids absolutely loved. If you get there in the morning the snorkelling is superb; we saw dozens of varieties of fish in their thousands, plus an octopus! There are even free floaty things you can use. The layout is lovely, with bridges and steps into the sea. Unlike a lot of lidos you wouldn’t go for the food, which is basic but nice - the bbq octopus roll is delicious. And the staff are really nice, carrying your bags and being very attentive. Oh, and free parking. Visiting Ottagono was one of the highlights of our holiday and we would highly recommend it!

Reasonable value at about 50 Euro for 2 beds and an umbrella. Loads of choice although we went on a Monday. Diving board which we all enjoyed and safe to dive in. Loads off staff around all pretty friendly. Food very basic so don’t expect much. Needs a bit of work to justify the entrance fee. I wouldn’t go again. The free beach next door looks just as good. Also, quite stoned so no good if you or your children are a bit soft.

We have been coming here for 13 years and it’s by far our favourite beach club in this part of Puglia. In peak season it’s never too crowded because of the large area that the club occupies. Although the beach is mainly on rocks there is also a small sandy cove that smaller children can go to (our boys are now 11 & 13 so have been here every summer holiday of their lives). The sea is easy to access as they have several steps in various locations. They have life guards and a medical attendant in peak season just in case.
The food is good if you go for the barbecue option - here you can get fresh octopus, sea bass or sausage in a bap - all pretty good value: 8 Euro for the octopus, 12 for the bass, 4 for a sausage.
They also have free floatation equipment to lounge around in the sea when it’s calm. Toilets are very clean, parking is free.
The only reason for 4 stars is that it’s not the cheapest- 15 Euros for a sun bed, 15 for an umbrella.

Very well organised. 40 euro for two beds and umbrellas felt like good value considering service, location and beach.
The kids loved the water with the rocks, diving board and floating devices available. For our older boys 7 and 10 who are strong swimmers the water and surrounds offered enough to keep them occupied for long days at the beach.
For mum and dad there was nice cold beer and aperol spritz served from the bar all day at reasonable prices considering the location.
The loss of points is for the food selection. The two bar/kiosk points at each end of the beach offer limited options. The main kiosk had an average selection of pre made sandwiches and salads that were underwhelming. The smaller kiosk at the other end of the beach had a fresher albeit limited selection of options that looked more appealing.
On our second visit we prepared our own lunch to take and in my opinion this is the way to go.

The beach club is easily identified by its orange red beach umbrellas. The club has suberb service, from the parting attendant, at reception, and constant available and helpful sfaff looking after you well. The club has no sandy beach but several steps into the wondeful sea. there is one side where dogs are allowed ( in leach) and there is a nice place for kids as well.

Nel bar/ristorante ci sono piatti gluten free? Ho prenotato ombrellone e lettini e sul regolamento c’è scritto che non si possono portare alimenti, se non hanno piatti senza glutine diventa un problema.

Il ristorante non si prenota, è il classico punto di ristoro di una spiaggia, io ho provato il panino al polpo e mi è piaciuto.
Salve ma è possibile prenotare oltre che sapere i prezzi? Grazie

Hi, we are leaving our holiday rental in Alberobello on saturday 30th September and our flight from Brindisi isn't until 8pm that night. We would like to spend the day at the beach and then get showered and changed for our flight. Do you offer this facility?

Buon pomeriggio.... vorrei sapere se bisogna per forza prenotare oppure una volta che ci troviamo lì possiamo tranquillamente accedere al lido? Perche ho provato a chiamare ma mi arriva un messaggio dove dice che bisogna scaricare un applicazione chiamata coco è da lì accedere alla prenotazione ... chi sa dirmi come posso fare ?A me occorre per la giornata di domani

Noi siamo andati senza prenotare. C'è una grande disponibilità di lettini ed ombrelloni sparsi su un'area molto ampia, quindi non penso che sia necessario prenotare.
