‪Your best bet to see and hear the bufones is during winter months!‬
ספט׳ 2018 • זוגות
‪Our innkeeper gave us a small walking map to these bufones but he was very clear about the fact that we would see nothing since they are fully active in winter. Good to know, but we walked there in September and just the sounds were amazing!‬

‪Great fun‬

‪You can drive all the way down a dirt track to park near the main bufone (read hole in the ground that spews sea water when the waves crash into a cave below your feet). From there it’s a lovey walk through the geo park to see many others, with great sea cliff views. We went on a calm day so the Bufones just made a loud woosh when each wave struck the cliff, even at high tide.

It’s a nice 20min walk, or a short drive, back into the village. Casa Poli is a great place for lunch if you’re coming this way‬

‪Llanes to pendueles walk‬
יולי 2017 • זוגות
‪We got the 1121 train to Pendueles. and walked back to Llanes passing by this on the route. There was no spray but you could hear the power of the ocean. The map obtained from the tourist info suggests more than one walking path but in fact there is just one the Comino and it isn't directly on the coast for the most part but it was enjoyable ‬

‪Actually drove there & easy to park up but most people walk as track not suitable for all cars. Amazing experience & the noise so thunderous. I visited when the tide was up, wet & windy so I'm sure this helps the spectacle. Nature at its best.......... you won't be disappointed!‬

‪Interesting views of the coast‬
נוב׳ 2016 • משפחה
‪We walked about 3-4 miles to this location. If there is rough seas you will see the holes spouting. BUT it is worth checking out in any weather . Nice views of the cliffs. Be very careful walking around the cliffs the edges drop off immediately.‬

‪Pick your day to visit‬
ספט׳ 2016 • משפחה
‪It is quite a spectacular coastline but on the day we visited the sea was relatively calm so the bufones were just making an angry sound and were not ejecting water. If there is a heavy onshore swell they would be much better - see the YouTube footage. Road is narrow and rough but is OK and is sign posted. There is a small amount of parking by the bufones. Best bit of our visit was the mountain goats standing on the cliffs just to the east of the bufones.‬

‪Nature's Thunderous Wonder‬

‪While exploring the countryside and coast near Llanes, we came upon a 'blow hole' (National Monument known as Bufones de Arenillas).

As you walk towards the rock you can hear a tremendous roar of the sea. Such blowholes are formed by sea caves growing landwards, then upwards into vertical shafts where they are then exposed to the surface and result in large blasts of water gushing out from the top, when conditions are appropriate.

This particular one is closest to Puertas De Vidiago and is worth seeing. Goats happily graze nearby, attended by a dog who appears to watch over them!‬

‪Impressive, natural geiser from the sea‬

‪Well worth walking the 15 minutes to the sea from the centre of Puertas de Vidiago to see the Bufones. A nice walk and once you reach the sea, unbelievable vistas. ‬
