‪Sadly for us, it no longer exists. Back to being just a large green and yellow building. Still in Lonely Planet but clearly hasn't been operational for a while.‬

‪today I took my 3yr old grandson for a fun day out only to find that John Deere Land was closed and deserted - anyone know the reason why?‬

‪We spent three hours here - what a lovely place!
As a British family, we are unused to the somewhat lax attitude to Health & Safety regulations - but what a refreshing and fun change! Our 4 year old son was allowed anywhere and everywhere. This included a tube slide, many restored tractors, a tractor simulator (too bumpy for his mother but he loved it) and three different sizes of ride on tractor toys. There was also a set of bouncy toddler ride ons.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and when we couldn't find somewhere nearby for lunch, the woman in charge directed us to buy food froma local supermarket and return to eat it in their cafe (the kitchen was closed that day - although we had some very nice coffee). The John Deere logo T-shirts were extremely good value, although the huge variety of toy tractors to buy were a bit expensive.‬

‪We come from the Central Valley in California once a desert, irrigated and now blooms, so visiting this region of the Galillee, which was neglected by the Ottomans and British until Zionist settlers, removed rocks and stones and ploughed, planted an irrigated the soil and also blooms. The musuem reaches all audiences, first the young who love to play with such machines, there is an education programme for children, but for teenagers and adults alike it shows the progress of the Jewish pioneers who completetely reenginered the land, from being unwanted back water of an empire, to land that every grain of soil is loved and prepared to defend for‬

‪This "Museum" has many real tractors for kids to climb upon, a virtual reality tractor driving ride, tricycles in the shape of tractors you can ride around the building, a small water slide, and a movie (which we didn't see but were told has no words). Although I would have guessed that this place is most fun for kids ages 3-10, we had two 13 year olds and a 15 year old in our party. They most fun on the tricycles, running races around (the inside of) the building. There is also a small covered water slide (literally a simple slide that ends in a small pool) that was a great way to cool off on a hot day in August. Kids had so much fun they wanted to return the next day.‬
