‪One of the top ten most tranquil places on the Planet‬

‪Not only is visiting St Nectan's Glen a 'natural' delight, dealing with the people here is a life-enriching experience. I arrived needing peace. I found it. I kept it (for a while at least! Now, it's time to revisit.)‬

‪Magical‬
נוב׳ 2021
‪We stayed as part of a retreat over 2 full days … excellent accommodation, hospitality and all round experience. A totally magical visit and a few private visits to and in the waterfall - thank you so very much.
P.s. wear wellies or you will get wet feet 👣 ‬

‪The walk to reach the waterfall and the waterfall itself was beautiful. There’s a lovely gift shop and cafe next to the waterfall too. You go through the gift shop to reach the waterfall, the staff were really friendly and welcoming. There are some steep steps to reach the waterfall but nothing too arduous. Make sure you wear wellies or shoes that you don’t mind getting wet - we took our shoes off to cross the waterfall. There are stepping stones but they’re quite far apart. You can walk right up to the falls shoeless too.‬

‪Why is nature so expensive?‬
ספט׳ 2021
‪I really don't know why someone is allowed to make money on things that should be for free like... nature?? I could have understood a little or free contribution, but £6,50 to see waterfalls is literally an extorsion.
Doesn't matter if we walked all the way, we still didn't enter.
The walk to the gates is still pleasant though, but this is a tourist trap that should really be addressed.
The waterfall itself is not even that great (I saw the pictures). There are plenty of better option in the country (south wales for instance) and FREE as they should be.‬

‪Magical visit‬
משפחה • אוק׳ 2021
‪We were recommended this place by a lady we spoke to (for some time) in a shop in Padstow. She really raved about how beautiful & spiritual it was & even gave our daughter a ribbon to tie in the tree.
So having been gifted the ribbon we decided to visit.
I have to start with the fact that parking is limited with a couple of pay and display car parks nr by with space 4 around 30-40 cars maybe. It’s then a good half hour walk through woodland along side a stream. It was very muddy under foot so do wear sensible foot ware, walking boots or wellies. The path way is very uneven in places & not suitable for pushchairs or wheel chairs.
It takes about half hour at a steady pace to get to the entrance to the water fall where you will find toilets, a Nature trail, a gift shop, meditation room (quite small but a very relaxing area where you can lite candles etc) and a cafe. If you want to see the water fall then there is an admission charge, see website but we thought whilst this was a little in the high side it was worth while. It would take no more than 10 mins to walk through but there is no pressure to speed through so you are able to take your time.
If didn’t want to pay to see the waterfall then this would be a very pleasant free few hours out / walk especially if you take in the nature train behind the cafe.
The cafe sold lite snacks and burgers / teas coffees / cakes / snack etc - we didn’t check the full menu but prices seem reasonable. Cafe offered in door and out door seating and there are places to enjoy picnics.
If you enter the water fall you will follow a short track which again isn’t suitable for wheel or pushchairs or those unsteady on their feet. This leads to the waterfall and river crossing area, note you are expected to cross the river the depth of which i understand varies. Note there is a turnstile which once you pass you can’t retrace your steps and are then forced to cross the river, this will be either by stepping stones which look as though could be moved so not guaranteed or by paddling through so wear suitable foot wear or take a towel to dry your feet after. I would point out there are no places to sit in the dry to dry your feet or to put your shoes back on. Maybe before you enter change your shoes to crocs or foot ware you don’t mind getting wet. When we visited the river was about 15-25cm deep.
The lady in the shop and at the entrance was very friendly and happy to chat.
All in all a very good day out that the three of us thoroughly enjoyed.‬

‪If you are in the area and like going on walks, then this is a fabulous spot. It is about a 1-2 mile walk and the waterfalls at the end are stunning!‬

‪October visit‬
משפחה • אוק׳ 2021
‪We visited St.Nectan's Glen in October during half term. The walk to the waterfall is lovely although it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. I would highly recommend wearing wellies so you can actually get close to waterfall. Kids really enjoyed it and had so much fun.‬

‪Cafe - Check closing time before you purchase anything‬
זוגות • אוק׳ 2021
‪It was a lovely walk through the woodland area before you get to St Nectlan Glen, we paid to see the water falls which were amazing. Took about half an hour to go round. When we got back we headed to the cafe. We purchased a drink, took coats off and sat down. Next thing the lady is going round turning lights off with her coat on saying we are closed now Im going home. Why she didn't say that before we got drinks and sat down? Very rude indeed.‬

‪Blissful St Nectan’s Glen‬
חברים • אוק׳ 2021
‪Wanted to visit for quite some time, and despite lots of people visiting during the summer, it still has that ‘hidden gem’ feeling!
Definitely not suitable for anyone with a physical disability. The car park is around a mile from the waterfall, and is roughly a 30 minute walk on a rocky path with multiple steps.
But the walk to the falls is a treat in itself, following up stream, under the trees (particularly magical at Autumn time!)
We visited the cafe first, which is decorated so nicely, and staff we so lovely too.
Tasty coffee and cake!
Entrance to the falls was £6.45 per person, and is a rocky/hilly walk to the main attraction.
Warning - wear your waterproof walking boots! You’ll need to walk across the stream at some point. There are some stepping stones but feet will still get wet.
There’s the option to buy a wish ribbon, and people have hung these all over the walk - the overall effect is colourful and beautiful.
The fall is stunning, and quite hypnotic to watch.
By the gift shop there is a calm meditation room - perfect for a moment of quiet reflection.‬
