Strange place.
I suspect you don’t come to shop. Too expensive.
Just to look at the amazing interior. Amazing mix or art nouveau and deco in the original building. An odd extension in glass. The atrium with stairs, balconies, painted walls and stain glass ceiling.
Expensive bar and restaurant on floor 5.
Unfortunately the roof top outside cafe wasn’t open.

I love this shopping complex. It is really light, airy and elegant. The staircase is beautiful. The glass ceiling is nicely done. It is a perfect blend of the modern and classic styles. It has all the designer boutiques here. Overall it is quieter, smaller, and more subdued than Lafayette.

After years of reconstruction and restoration, the Samaritaine building has become awesome again, espeicially the interior.
A masterpiece of art-deco and art-nouveau style.
Of course, Samaritaine is a department store, one would almost forget.
It has changed its level form ; ordinary' to 'up-market', like Lafayette and Printemps.

This was jaded department store from a bygone age which has been resurrected into a high end establishment the equivalent of Harrods in London and a cut well above Printemps and Galerie Lafayette.It has two stunning courtyards in the original building and one in the extension.The retail you should treat as a museum as the prices are beyond the reach of most .
However it is an architectural gem not to be missed as the architect was influenced by the constructiuon of Eiffel Tower.The main courtyard is absolutely stunning for its skylight circumventing art and cast iron finishes

One should probably see this as a tourist attraction rather than a place to shop -– particularly given the prices of most of the luxury goods on display. But it is truly a wonder of renovation and improvement, particularly as this store was not known in earlier years as a luxury brand. In fact, there are several displays, including 60s, 70s and 80s clips of TV ads that show the intended audience. Well, it seems that the store understands that most of the clients nowadays are gawkers with cameras and iPhones -maybe that will change, but in the meantime, take advantage of the open doors and gawk.

This department store recently reopened after being closed for years. Definitely worth a visit. The interiors are beautiful Art Noveau. The designer merchandise may be expensive but it doesn't cost anything to look at the store interiors. Also had a very nice lunch at the restaurant on the top floor.

Worth a quick walk-through to see the beautiful steel architecture supporting this beautifully restored historic building. Highly expensive goods and products sold in the luxury stores that includes all famous luxurious brands. Fun to see the large collection of a variety of high end watches from $10K-$60K.

Incredibly horrible service! The reference of most ugly and disgraceful “French service”!!! I am a personal shopper ans we have ordered an Alaia dress for my client in US, first they took 3 days to send it, and after 1 week we have found out that the dress blocked at customs since 4 days, because Samaritaine have not provided the information correctly and tried to argue with US customs, saying that information about the place of the production is “confidential”. 10 days later, while I have been contacting 1 floor assistant, 2 different managers and customer service (each has been extremely rude to me), the dress has been sent back to Paris. I just had their manager Sophie Clement on phone who, instead of bringing her excuses for the mistake they made ans that they will learn from it and send the dress again correctly, just told me literally to f**k off, asking what is my real relation with that client.
Please avoir Samaritaine, if you don’t want to be pissed off with incredibly bad service and rude stuff!!!

The iconic Art Nouveau department store will soon come to life once again as the huge restoration project at Pont Neuf will be accomplished by the owner LVMH. There will be a luxury hotel but also council housing, a nursery and pedestrian streets to benefit ordinary Parisians who are moving away in masses from the inner city due to high living costs. The small exhibition on the premises will stay open till December 2019 on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 13-20 hours.

You will feel luxury in this store. The building's architecture is very pretty and store is decorated with lights. This beautiful store has lovey view in the heart of city.

Hi, the small exhibition at the renovation premises should stay open till December, the project is widely published on their social media. I used to go to the Touparis restaurant too for the view, I gather it will be reopened as a luxury restaurant.
