‪An interesting statue of a flower seller‬
דצמ׳ 2019
‪This statue is located in the Pedro Luis Alonso Gardens below the Alcazaba walls.

The statue was made in 1963. It represents a seller of biznagas flowers, which was a traditional job in Malaga.‬

‪Nice statue, nice garden‬
אוק׳ 2019
‪This is a statue of a young man selling Biznagas. We were told that Biznagas, flowers with very nice fragrance, were a symbol of Malaga. The park, Jardines de Pedro Luis Alonso, is next to Malaga city hall. Beautiful roses, citrus trees, lotus flowers in a pond. You can see the gardens also from above from Alcazaba.‬

‪Flower Seller‬
לבד • אפר׳ 2019
‪This statue stands in tribute to the biznaguero of Malaga, a man who sells bizanagas on the streets of the city. Biznagas are flowers, handmade using Jasmine and the stalk of a Nerdo plant for fragrance back in the days before air fresheners.

The statue depicts the biznaguero wearing traditional dress and carrying the biznagas stuck into a penca (a prickly pear leaf). Like the El Cenochero statue, it's nice to see Malaga honour the common man instead of another privileged aristocrat.‬

‪Uplifting sculpture‬
לבד • ינו׳ 2019
‪This is what I call “uplifting art” as in my opinion it gives you a good feeling. Located in the pleasant Jardines de Pedro Luis Alonso, it depicts a chap wearing traditional costume and plying his trade as a flower seller - not sure what type of flowers they are but he’s holding a bunch in his left hand! Completed by the artist Jaime Fernandez Pimental in 1963.‬

‪Rose garden‬
לבד • אפר׳ 2018
‪On the same street where busses leave tourists for Alcazaba is a small rose garden, La Rosaleda with a locally famous statue from 1963 by Jaime Pimentel. El Biznaguero is young man selling flowers on the street and hollering about the beauty of his offerings, the artist has made another with a fishmonger. The garden has a lily pond with walls and benches decorated with hand painted ceramics in the typical colours of blue and yellow. Information about all the different rose varieties is also available. Even though the area is busy with traffic the garden is quite peacefull.‬

‪Jasmine!.........Jasmine!.......‬
זוגות • דצמ׳ 2017
‪He was probably screaming that in spanish. Biznagas are the bunches "jasmine" flower on the left hand of this statue. The biznagas is a symbol of Malaga. A biznaguero is the man who sells bizanagas on the street. The statue is a tribute to the jasmine sellers. The location of this statue is at the middle of the rose garden in jardines de Pedro Luis Alonso‬

‪Represents the Past of Malaga‬
זוגות • אוג׳ 2017
‪In the past there were young men who would sell flowers on the streets of Malaga and the men would buy one for their wife or girlfriend. The flowers would have a lot of perfume.‬

‪In a nice park, Jardines de Pedro Luis Alonso, a nice statue of a young boy with flowers in his hands, perhaps roses, this is a roses garden, a beautiful park with palms and trees, flowers, for a nice walk.‬
