‪One of the most beautiful Baroque churches‬
מרץ 2020
‪Our Cathedral ticket also allowed us to visit this church. Supposedly, one can do it the other way round, as the ticket from this church allows one to also see the Cathedral and one can skip the queue there. The fine Baroque carving and gilding represent a real contrast to the more austere Gothic Cathedral‬

‪Buy Combo Cathedral Ticket Here & Avoid Cathedral Lines‬
פבר׳ 2020
‪This is a great church to visit for 2 reasons:

1. It’s a fabulous Baroque extravaganza of gold and ornate decoration.
2. If you come here before going to the Cathedral, then you can buy a combo ticket giving you entry to the church, the Cathedral and Giralda bell tower (€10) all in one. This gave us the huge advantage of skipping the long Cathedral lines and we could go straight in to the Cathedral. It’s only a 3 minute walk from here to the Cathedral.

We spent a lot longer at this church than I’d expected. It turned out to be a real treasure and was unexpectedly stunning. We didn't get the audio-guide but it wasn't needed because there were a lot of English/Spanish information panels inside.

The golden altar and richly decorated side chapels are obvious highlights. However I was more intrigued by the collection of life-size statues and sculptures around the altar. These are the figures that are carried through the streets in religious processions and are housed in the church throughout the year until their annual outings. The most popular one is the Holy Week donkey carrying Jesus into Jerusalem (on right hand side of the altar).

They are carried on ‘pasos’ which are the enormous silver and gold platforms that you see on your left as you first walk in the church. They puzzled us at first and we weren’t sure what it could be used for. However they are the procession floats which are carried throughout the streets on feast days and festival. Statues of Mary or Jesus sit on top so that they seem to float through the streets. From Palm Sunday to Holy Saturday, there are over 60 official processions. Looking at these huge, solid pasos, you know they were going to be heavy but apparently several dozen men (costaleros) hide underneath to carry it. Lanterns and silver crosses go in front and musicians, a brass band or marching drums follow. What a spectacle. ‬

‪A Treasure hidden inside...‬
ינו׳ 2020
‪Looking at this church from the outside, I could not imagine the beauty that it hides inside. It is simply stunning, the abundance of details in every corner that you look. Worth the visit, be sure to go.‬

‪Elaborate‬
מאי 2019
‪Iglesia Colegial del Salvador is quite an elaborate church. It contains a large amount of gold, just as many other churches do, particularly in Spain. This church is also full of history. It used to be a mosque during the days Seville was under the occupation of the Moors. However when the Christians re-conquered their country, it was rebuilt as a Christian place of worship. It is second only to the Cathedral of Seville, in size, so it's a rather huge building. Worth a visit.‬

‪An exquisite church‬
נוב׳ 2019
‪The Church of the Divine Savior was small but exquisite. If you’ve ever wondered what happened to all of the gold that was brought back from the New World, look no further than Spain’s churches! They are lavished with gold! We purchased a ticket that allowed admission to both this church and the Cathedral (8 Euros for two senior admissions). Don't miss this jewel in Sevilla.‬

‪Beautiful church‬
ינו׳ 2020
‪This was included in our Cathedral and tower ticket but the normal admission price (4 euros) is reasonable if visiting separately. This is one of the most beautiful churches we have visited in Europe and well worth a visit.‬

‪Fabulously extravagant‬
אוק׳ 2019
‪Entry Fee: 4Euros.
We purchased a combined ticket for Cathedral, Giralda and Salvador and paid 13 Euros; 9 Euros for General Ticket & 4 Euros for Seniors. It is easier to buy the tickets to Cathedral here as the queues are smaller.
Opening hours:
From September to June - Monday to Saturday from 11:00 to 18:00; Sunday from 15:00 to 19:30
July and August - Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 17:30; Sunday from 15:00 to 19:30
Loved the light coming through the stained glass and the beautiful alters and basillica. Does not appear much from outside, but spectacular inside. I found this more beautiful than Cathedral de Seville.
I have never seen such a lavish church. The ornate alters bedecked in gold are impressive and unlike the cathedral atmosphere which is touristic - you really feel calm and reminded that this is a holy place to be respected.
There is so much to see, from the main nave, the main altar, Orange Courtyard and all the side chapels. It's worth a visit here as it's quieter than the cathedral and you can buy a combined ticket for both which is valid for 5 days.
Baroque architecture is known to be over the top (OTT) and this church displays that exactly. Fabulously extravagant, It's a lovely building with lots of light.
Toilets available at the back. You can walk from here to Catedral de Sevilla.
