‪I had to see it - the visit took all of ten minutes. This is a one anteroom, one small room museum in dire need of almost everything. The older - and I mean older - gentleman taking tickets spoke no English he was willing to admit to but it was fun if you are near the cathedral, That said, unless you are a shoe fetishist or textile restoration expert it is not worth spending more than a few minutes trying to find it.‬

‪This shoe museum is a real hidden gem. While it is small, it is really interesting. For anyone who lives shoes, you must visit.‬

‪Tucked away in a lovely courtyard near the Catedral de Barcelona is this tiny musuem of shoes. How do we think we have invented any new designs?? The host was charming - very proud of the displays - I bought 2 posters of shoes (my grandfather was a cobbler). It was an enjoyable visit in an enjoyable day!‬

‪Besides enjoying the little adorable museum - the location was great - it was fun finding it and when we arrived, it is in a small courtyard where local little children were getting out of school. the entire experience was charming!‬

‪Not big, but good enough collection will be interesting for those who are interested in history of fashion. And there is a shoe made for the statue of Colombus on Mirador de Colom))‬

‪We foudnd this museum in the Gothic area hidden in a beautiful plaza. It was charming, interesting, not commercial and theres a kind old man running it. We aren´t shoe people, but the museum was very interesting anyhow. The price to get in was economical and it was a pleasure to see a real old fashioned museum in a peaceful environment.‬

‪ I enjoyed this tiny museum, it is unpretentious and has a great range of shoe design. not so many from more recent times but hey we can go to plenty of shoe shops and web sites for them...the attendant was the sweetest man who was happy to talk about the exhibits, he didn't speak English but we managed to communicate through mime and a lot of pigeon language! Many of the shoes were well worn and this spoke volumes to me as I imagined the occaisions the shoes were worn and by whom. Only €2.50 and in a square with a sad history where many young children were killed in a church when a bomb exploded. check out the pock marks left on the church left as a poignant reminder.‬

‪This little museo is cheap (2.5 euro) & charming. it sits in a perfect small courtyard behind the catedral & is served by a tiny, ancient attendant who offers sporadic quiet comments in castelano about the various exhibits. It's quiet & quaint, inexpensive, & a respite from the bustle of the old town. Would I fly to Barcelona for it, nope, but if you're in the catedral area & looking for an "amuse bouche" this is it. You leave smiling.‬

‪This is a sweet little trip through the history of shoes. Having visited more 'high fashion' shoe exhibitions this was a bit more old school but a worthy distraction nonetheless. Situated in a lovely courtyard with a dedicated attendent, you can see examples of shoes from Roman times through the Victorian ages up until the modern day. Don't get too excited about the 'famous shoes' unless your knowledge of Spanish music stars/ politicians is up to date... They save the biggest shoes ever made until last! But at only 2.50 euros this is a cheap attraction compared to most of the places in this area and provides a respite from the heat for half an hour!‬
