‪Calle De Santa Isabel is a lovely street that we walked down as we were heading away from the beautiful Reina Sofia.
The street is cool, great architecture such as Real Monasterio De Augustines Recoletas,Real Colegio De Santa Isabel La Asuncion ,Palacio De Fernan Nunez to name but some of the great structures along the street, theres also innumerable pubs, bars and restaurants along the street and interesting shopping outlets ,we hit a few bars down this street, had a great time and if your planning a holiday to Madrid most definitely well worth checking out. ‬

‪We first walked along Calle de Santa Isabel when heading towards the Reina Sofia Museum. It is quite a lovely street for most of its length, or at least the part that we were on. There are several nice looking cafes, restaurants, bars and other shops all around. There is also outdoor seating in many places. It's worth while taking a stroll on this road if you have a bit of time.‬

‪A very nice street connecting the Reina Sofia Museum with the very city center. Full of bars and calm street life, perfect for a stroll and lazy bar spotting.‬

‪We have stayed on Calle Atocha a couple of times now and love visiting this little street just over the road. Located on the outskirts of the Lavapies district it has scores of wonderful places to eat and drink.

Some of our favourites are Buns and Bones, Taberna Mas al Sur and La de Esproncida.

Make sure to have a tapeo one evening on this lovely street.‬

‪We only saw the top end of the street but really enjoyed what we saw. The street is quite narrow with pleasant, colourful houses and trees. It runs about parallel with Calle de Atocha. It has a interesting looking old cinema - Cine Dore which is the headquarters of the National Film Archive and very decorative from the outside. The Anton Martin market which sells fish, meat and vegetables and is a very good local market. Also other shops. There is interesting "official" graffiti too. We are sorry that we didn't have the time to explore more of the street. Well worth a visit we think!‬
