‪Ladias was just the loveliest person. We called him before we set off hiking Vikos Gorge having been recommended by one of the locals. He gave us some tips of what to look out for on the hike and told us to call him when we were at the Voidamatis Springs. He answered when we called and told us he would be waiting for us in approx 30 mins. Unfortunately hubby had some breathing issues so with the ‘uber’steep ascent it took us an hr and a half to get to the top!! When i called about an hr into the ascent Ladias reassured us there was no pressure and he would wait for us whenever we were ready. He had even started walking down to check everything was ok but thankfully by that time we were nearly there. He then ran off to buy us a couple of bottles of water off his own back which were SO welcome as we had just run out. We felt so embarrassed it took us so long but he really was ‘no trouble at all!’ The fare from Vikos to Monodendri was 40euros which i have read was standard (it’s a 30min drive). Needless to say we gave him more as he had waited so long and was so kind. Thank you so much Ladias!! You really were so much appreciated!!! What a lovely person you are!‬
