This tour was so much fun! We only had a couple of days in Parma and wanted to make sure we tasted everything. Michelle was a wonderful tour guide and educated us on the food of Parma as well as some of the history of the city. We tried all of the local foods and even got to taste two drops of 15 year and 30 year aged balsamic vinegar. It was also fun to taste the cheese with her. She showed us how to break, smell and taste it (like a wine tasting). We were so full afterward that we did not even bother with dinner. Thank you Michelle!

From the moment our delightful tour commenced in the charming city of Parma, it was evident that we were in for an EXCEPTIONAL experience, thanks to our guide, Michelle. Her passion for the region's culinary heritage is evident!
Our first stop was a traditional Parmigiano Reggiano cheese farm and factory. Michelle's expertise was unparalleled! She guided us through EACH STEP of the cheese-making process. Her ability to communicate complex processes in an easy-to-understand manner made the experience educational and enjoyable.
Next, Michelle led us to a hidden gem "Acetaia" where Modena's famed Balsamic Vinegar is produced. This off-the-beaten-path venue was a delightful surprise, offering an intimate glimpse into the art of balsamic vinegar from an awarded "Acetaia." They transformed what could have been a simple tasting into a fascinating journey through the history and culture of this product and the region.
The final leg of our tour was a Parma ham factory. She explained the intricate curing process with such detail and enthusiasm that we could almost taste the care and tradition in each slice of ham.
Throughout the tour, Michelle's communication skills were excellent. She answered our myriad of questions with patience and an evident joy in sharing her knowledge. Her choice of smaller, less touristy venues provided a more authentic and intimate experience, allowing us to truly immerse ourselves in the local food culture.
ARTEMILIA's tour is a must-do for any food enthusiast visiting the region. Her deep knowledge, excellent communication skills, and selection of unique venues combine to create an unforgettable culinary adventure. I recommend them and their customized tour options to anyone see seeking an authentic and enriching experience in the heart of Italy's food country.

Our guide made this experience so much fun and special. Sabrina is kind and knowledgeable and the food was delicious. I would suggest to have a very light breakfast and skip on making dinner plans after the tour.

Wow! What a great last minute booking! We were in Bologna for the F1 race that got cancelled due to all the rain & flooding in the region. Had a couple of days to fill, so saw this tour and decided to book. A short train trip from Bologna to Parma. Our guide was a joy! Lots of food - pasta/parmigiano reggiano tasting, salumeria tasting of meats & balsamic vinegar, local deserts at a pasticceria, then back to a "sandwich' stop (another local delicacy, but I didn't get the name of it), and finished off with gelato! Lovely day. Great food. Lots of information! And Parma is a delightful town!

This was a great tour for a quick introduction to Parma and the food culture. Wonderful guide who gave us not only history and origins of food we were tasting but also of Parma itself. Definitely recommend this interesting and delicious tour.

Wow! This was a fantastic experience. Michelle is extraordinarily knowledgable about local food, art, wine, and culture. She has lived in the area all her life and is so passionate about what she does. She is a certified cheese taster and is pursuing her sommelier license so she really knows her stuff. Not only is she brilliant, but she is kind and very funny. She works hard to maintain strong relationships with local, and small scale producers who take pride in their work. There are countless tour options for food in Emilia Romagna but this group is the best. Book them today. Thanks, Michelle!

The experience with Artemilia and Michelle was amazing. My wife and I did the gastronomic tour around Parma, Reggio Emilia and Modena.
Michelle makes you travel to the past and brings you back to present continuously. She's very knowledgeable, professional and passionate. She took care of every single detail during the whole tour and had the patience to explain and answer all your questions (and I made a lot).
The Parmigiano Reggiano cheese factory tour was impressive, then the traditional Balsamic acetaia (vinegar factory) was mind blowing how they keep this tradition and making a delicious unique and bursting fully rich flavored balsamic, the wine tasting was simply fantastic on a breathtaking scenery through the Reggio Emilia and Parma hills, and the Prosciutto di Parma factory visit was incredible how a family and a few workers can produce such a delicious Prosciutto following the old traditions.
Best money spent. Do it, you won't regret it. We're planning our next tour with Michelle and Artemilia.

We spent a great afternoon with Michelle C. walking and eating our way across Parma and can only highly recommend this experience to anyone and everyone! Michelle is a wonderful guide who is full of wonderful insight, history, and clearly an excellent ambassador for her home town.
Our tour included stops to taste at a wonderful panini shop, a beautiful local restaurant for cheese, wine and pasta tasting, then onto a deli which just blows your mind. Dessert, coffee and even gelato rounded out our tour. We didn't eat beforehand and arrived with an empty stomach .. and walked away wanting for nothing.
The tour is not by any means cheap, but the value is amazing. The private tour allowed us to walk, taste and experience the city in a way which is just not possible in a group tour.
