‪I will reflect the other reviews in that it is not possible to get into this Villa, there are signs stating the opening times, but it was not open during those times while we were there. It can be seen from the road, but it is not quite the same. ‬

‪Neglected‬
זוגות • אוק׳ 2018
‪This has clearly been neglected. We couldn't enter but saw most of it from the outside. The remains are overgrown with weeds and grass. The archaeological remains at Sant'Eulalia in the centre are a lot better presented and more modern and worth a visit instead.‬

‪Not as Advertised!‬

‪After a long walk to find the place, we discovered that the entrance was closed and the directions to an alternate entrance were impossible to follow. We saw a bit through the fence and decided that would suffice since we were hot and tired of looking for it. There were no people in the site, officials or guests, so I think it must have been closed on the day we were there (a Monday), although the guidebooks had it open daily from 10am-2pm and from 3-7pm. We were sorry to miss it, as it sounded interesting, but the view through the fence did not provide much enlightenment or encouragement to attempt another visit. Phone before you go.‬

‪Morning visit‬

‪Called here after the botanical gardens and before the amphitheatre. Views only from outside. Did not see anything that would be worth paying further to go in unless you had run out of things to do on your city visit.‬

‪Beautiful remains of Roman villa‬
לבד • אוק׳ 2016
‪This Roman villa, what is digged and can be seen, is not too big, but it is lovely.

I came across it as it was included in a combined ticket to visit other historical attractions in the city, and it is close to the ones located in the old city centre or around it.

It does not take long to visit, and being below the street level, one could get some nice views of it through the outside fence as well.

‪Small but interesting‬
לבד • מאי 2016
‪This is quite easy to find as it's not far from Via Roma, about 15 minutes stroll up the hilly streets. I started taking photos through the fence before I got to the entrance as these provided a better perspective of the site and the surrounding area. Once there, I was greeted by a cheerful young lady who explained in her limited English that she was the guide but unfortunately she couldn't guide me on the day, as there would be no-one on reception. She happily explained about the site and said I could step off the platformed walk and wander about the ruins. These consist of small bedrooms, an area where rainwater was collected, a few upright columns, plus fragments of faint frescoes and tiled floors. For the small entrance fee I think it's worth a visit, especially if you're thinking of also visiting the Botanical Garden, which is at the top of the street.‬

‪Better than it looks from the street outside!‬
משפחה • ספט׳ 2013
‪We found this lovely open air Roman museum almost by chance. It's a few blocks away from the main thoroughfare but what a find! We were lucky that it was quiet and the volunteer guide gave us our very own tour round. The entrance is on a small side street. You could walk right past and just look through the wire fence - but you'd miss the detail. Fantastic mosaic tiles, baths, columns etc. all brought to life by the guide. Go but don't tell everyone.‬
