‪After leaving the main road and crossing a industrial area you find a small car park. Following a path for a few minutes you come on a leavy tranquil spot with the remains of an old well from prehistoric times. There is not a lot to see, but it has a bit of magic.
It is well maintained with good access. Just a nice detour if you are close. It takes a few minutes to visit.‬

‪I was really looking forward to visiting this ancient well but the signage was damaged and unreadable in places and look a little under appreciated and the well itself had stagnant water laying. Not what I was expecting. ‬

‪This is a small archeological site with a well and remaning lower walls where ceremonies were performed. From the artifacts found during excavation it is likely that this site dates back to the 15th century before Christ. It is well maintained and accessible with a short walk from a parking lot. Free entrance. ‬

‪We drove past it from Olbia, but by driving back we noticed the signs. It has a small carpark, and a very well maintained path to it. The sacred well isn't big, and only one sign to read at it. But nice to visit‬

‪This Pozzo Sacro is interesting because it shows that even the ancient people living there believed in sacrification. It is amazing to see such an incredible monument in a place where you would not expect it. I gave it 3 stars because there isn't a guide and it is hard to arrive to the parking lot it is pretty hidden. ‬

‪Sacred wells were dedicated to the water goddess who was also the earth mother. This one is in a peaceful location reached from a big car park , a short walk through wild flowers and herbs. It is a very quiet place- one is able to touch the water but where it comes from and where it goes is a mystery.‬

‪Stunningly well preserved Bronze Age well north of Olbia center. You need to go via the zone industriale to get access and parking as the old sign by the national road is completely closed off. Impressive construction with clear waters filling the well.‬

‪A great place to get some insight in religious customs way back when... Water has always been important, source of life and here you can actually feel just that, you can only imagine how thousands of years ago people gathered at this spot. I could not believe how much is actually preserved. Loved visiting this well!‬

‪A remarkable site, not only for its archaeological significance, but for the palpable air of otherness within it.
I was not expecting it to be so well preserved and set in a beautiful natural place filled with native plants (which are labelled - a great touch), especially considering its proximity to an industrial estate. The myrtle was in full bloom, scenting the air and we spotted a tortoise as we followed the stone path to the well from the car park. The well entrance itself is elegantly yonic.
It is a site which was accessible to me, despite my mobility problems (I'm not in a wheelchair, but you could get one up to where the building is sunk into the ground), and a soothing space to collect thoughts on the benches by the structure.
I felt very lucky to have the well to myself as I had read up on it before coming to the country. Thousands of years old and unique to the culture of ancient sardinia - one of the highlights of my trip :) ‬

‪I think the signposting says it all really! Make the place difficult to find because at least you will have spent as many minutes finding the place as you are likely to spend actually at this place.
In fairness the Sards have tried to make the actual site a bit more interesting once you arrive, by placing useful plaques and identifying the local trees that are planted on the paths. But there is not much you can really do to make a few rocks and a well something that is going to grab your attention for too long, especially on a cloudless day where temperatures are at 35 degrees and there is no shade! I thought we might be able to at least venture down the 17 steps, but after the first two you will be up to your ankles in water.
Don't get me wrong preserving archeological sites and ancient artefacts is important for all sorts of reasons, but you really have to be interested in the reasons behind these places to want to visit here‬
