Went with the family to this beach. Kid friendly, the water was clean and the cafe was affordable. Great day at the beach

Average for families with young kids but above average for adults

Longest beach of Kalymnos. When compared to other beaches in Kalymnos, beach facilities are better. Nice shadows with palm tree made shades. Food is ok. Waves are so big and fun for adults but tough for small kids.

Spent most of our days at Plati Yialos beach, the kids loved it, we did try to only go on days that weren't so windy as it does get a little too rough for younger children (ours are 5 years and 4 years old)

Great beach and atmosphere

Plati Gialos is a must visit location with the opportunity to also visit Kantouni and Linaria. The beach is popular with locals, always a good sign, and the atmosphere is superb. The waves are great fun and you should not be put off swimming because of them. The beach bar offers great service and car parking is usually easy.

Quite nice beach located 7 km northwest of Pothia. This sandy beach has also lovely small black stones on the seaside, very clean water to swim and waves to have fun for children. Sunbed fee is 2,5 € for each.
Massouri and Myrties beaches are also so nice but as they are in touristic area, they are more crowded.

The widest and sandiest beach on the Island.

Kalymnos has many beautiful small beaches but Platis Yialos is one of the sandiest (others are rocky), and widest. Even in the height of Summer it is not overcrowded as it is off the tourist track. It does shelf however and the water becomes suddenly deep. The views are amazing from here and the water is incredibly clean. Word to the wise however, the last time that I popped into the beach bar I was astonished at the price of a cold beer. Generally you can expect to pay 2.5 to 3 Euros for an ice cold Mythos. The price here is 4. Drink slowly!!!!!

One of the best beach of first 3 at the island

One of the best beach of first 3 at the island. Clean beach and sea, with little black stoned beach. Have restaurants and coffe shops at the beach, nice and friendly staff serving with nice prices. You can rent sunbed/sunlounger for 2,50 EUR per day.

There is no map of where it is located on the island. How do you expect us to go if we don't know where it is???? Not very good app
