‪Stayed here in August, it was busy every day despite there not being much to see. It’s quite pretty but is principally a working harbour - boats buzzing in and out all day and night! There are a couple of restaurants, Angelos is reasonably priced but the others rely on their location and food is quite expensive and fairly mediocre. There is very limited parking, €15 a day and you have to leave the keys !!! The road in and out is treacherous at night with cars parked either side, pedestrians wandering about and scooters with a death wish, however, unless you like a very quiet holiday you really will need your own transport and plenty of cash to park. There is also the inconvenience of having to leave the car up at the car park and then wait for it to be retrieved by an attendant, who may or may not be available she you want it back. We enjoyed a couple of days but felt a week was too much for us. Would recommend for those who like a rustic get away from it all holiday. We much preferred the buzz of Sorrento.‬

‪This is a quiet harbour with few tourists, little road traffic and a really slow pace of life. Angelo's Bar overlooks the harbour was a perfect place for a late morning beer. Funiculi Funicula is a restaurant on the harbour edge which serves good food and is not overly expensive. Our lunch was one of the best eats I had whilst in Sorrento.‬

‪Nice Way to See the Isle of Capri‬

‪The Capri Classic Island Tour at 55 euros is a great way to see Capri. The boat goes around the island, stopping at various points for photos then lands at Marina Grande, where you disembark for 5 hours. There was a lady on board offering a tour of the island in private mini buses for 25 euros which we decided to take. Glad we did as the public buses were crammed and we wouldn't have seen nearly as much. It was well worth the price. This was a full day event which we very much enjoyed.‬

‪A quaint unspoilt and authentic sea port. From here we were able to take trips to capri and amalfi. 2 very small shops a few restaurants /bars. No overcharging . The walk up the hill to Massa Lubrense is challenging but well worth it. As we entered the town we found a fruit and veg store that had delicious fresh produce and homemade limoncello.The people in both villages are very friendly.Overall a delightful experience.‬

‪Excellent place for boat rental and dining‬

‪Our group of 13 stayed at a Villa in Massa Lubrense in early June. We rented boats on two days from Michele and ate at all of the restaurants at the Marina. If going to Capri or the Amalfi Coast there is no need to go into Sorrento as this can be done easily at the Marina with out the hasstle of dealing with the crowds in Sorrento. Da Michele and Funiculi offered a nice option for food and beverages and even were willing to deliver food to the Villa. ‬

‪We walked here from our hotel just outside Massa Lubrense and then up into the hillside to other charming hamlets with amazing views. Our hotel also organised a boat trip to Capri from Marina della Lobra which was very good. Other boat trips can be taken from here. ‬

‪Great way to get to Naples!‬

‪We used this Marina to get to Naples without booking an overpriced tour. We travelled down here at about 9.45 one Morning and joined the massive queue to book tickets. The queue took so long we missed the 10am boat to Naples but booked the 12pm one instead. It was simple and easy to get the tickets and were advised what port to wait at etc. Be prepared to queue though the place is heaving and manic and the queues were crazy but moved steadily. The Marina itself is lovely, lots of fishing boats, we sat on a small patch of beach while waiting for our boat and saw many Jelly Fish in the waters which is interesting. The boat was about 27 Euro Return Each which we didn't think was too bad!‬

‪This is a quaint traditional little fishing harbour with a couple of shops and restaurants. We stayed in this area to travel the Amalfi Coast and it’s a world away from the craziness of nearby Sorrento. If you walk down the ramp at Angelo’s Restaurant (which I have reviewed separately and you should definitely try!!) follow the path round to the right beyond the houses and it takes you to a little man made rocky area where you can rent a sun lounger for 5 euros. The water is shallow and I felt my kids were safe. If you’re planning a trip there bring beach shoes because there’s no sand, all rocks. ‬

‪Started with a drink and salad at Angelo’s bar, headed along the path by the sea to the little pebble beach. Teenagers played in the sea, adults had a walk and sat in the sun. Headed back towards the car park (2 Euro’s an hour, you leave your keys in, so that more cars can be accommodated and so that the attendant can move cars around when folks want to leave - all perfectly safe honest) and had a beer and an ice cream. A perfectly lovely way to spend an afternoon. Really pretty setting!‬

‪This is an authentic little fishing village which feels miles away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento! A piece of Paradise overlooking the magic Island of Capri! During our stay in Massa Lubrenze we went there almost every afternoon to enjoy the amazing sunset and the peace that surronds this place! Here local fishermen still mending their nets after use!! this was a wonderful spot to stop and relax , ideal spot for evening meal.‬
