‪Fantastic Beach - Beware of Tide‬
‪ספט׳ 2021‬
‪A fantastic beach to visit. When the tide goes out it is a lovely golden sand beach. At high tide you only have access to the large stones/pebbled area of the beach. I wouldn’t recommend this beach for those with mobility issues due to this as you still need to walk over the stones at low tide to access the sand. The car park is about a 5 minute walk. It is down a steep hill and is stoney so wear suitable shoes. Flip flops are not the best shoe wear as I found out. The car park is National Trust and had attendants on our visit. I have to mention one of the parking attendants, a very pleasant chap who directed us where to park and advised you could pay at the machine in coins or by phone using a parking app. Phone reception was poor and he told us we would probably get reception once on the beach but not to worry if we didn’t. Such a lovely man. As it happens I could get 4G on the beach so paid for parking with no problem. If you are National Trust members parking is free. We ate at the Beach cafe and the food was lovely. Toilets are also at the cafe. We did get caught out by the tide one day whilst eating at the Beach Cafe. Within an hour the tide had come in and submerged all of our beach stuff. Thankfully the amazing RNLI lifeguards saved the day and rescued all of our stuff. I cannot praise them enough they were fantastic and helped many others caught out by the tide that day. Just beware of the tide times as I’d say about 2-3 hours before high tide the golden sand is pretty much covered so time your trip well if you want to make the most of the sand or want to do the coastal walk.‬

‪Lovely beach walk‬
זוגות • ספט׳ 2021
‪This beach is great for dogs. A real lovely sand beach walk. You must be aware of tide times and sometimes you have to wait for tide to go out. But there is a lovely cafe with great food and drink. Toilets by cafe.
There is a slight slope to access beach and large pebbles before you reach rock pools and sand. Great place.‬

‪Enjoyable visit‬

‪Loved our visit to this beach. A recommendation from our holiday neighbours.
There is limited parking but infact another car park they open further up the hill so not too limited. Though whether the addition parking is used often I couldn't say.
There is a cafe, beach sales & hire (body boards, wet suits, buckets etc) there are also toilets and a national Trust hut.
We loved the beach, which is very pebbly to start but once the tide goes out it's wonderful sand and some rock pools‬

‪Stunning views‬

‪Beautiful coastline views and great surf, the beach is very rocky however with a steep walk back to the car park, not recommended for anyone with mobility issues and poor fitness levels.‬

‪Our favourite beach near Bude great for families‬
משפחה • יוני 2021
‪We spent an excellent day here with young children, grandparents and a dog. We arrived pre 10am when the tide was out and the beach was stunning...all the good looks of Northcote mouth but with facilities and less busy than Summerleaze. Lots of rock pools and rocks to climb for the children.
We did have to move our stuff back several times as the tide came in quickly and we ended up on the pebbles but we didn’t mind.
Would suggest staying away from the overhang of the cliff as we saw a rock fall further down the beach and a small rock hit my dad in the stomach (cue another move with all our stuff!).
There’s a lovely small waterfall from the cliffs which was used by people to cool off from the sun.
We had coffees, lunch and ice creams from the shop by the entrance to the route down to the beach which were all delicious, they even had Oatly milk, something I haven’t been able to find everywhere!
There’s a fee to park, the machine takes coins or you can use the pay to park app although the phone signal isn’t great in that area.
Overall our favourite beach in the area. I’d suggest going after high tide then setting up on the uncovered sandy areas.‬

‪Great beach!‬
משפחה • יולי 2021
‪A great beach with plenty of space. If you arrive before the tide is out then you're on the rocky area but as the tide goes out, the kids can explore the rock pools.

The National Trust car park is free for members including NTS members.

The cafe is great with fantastic views.

The walk down to the beach is rocky (large pebbles) so wear decent shoes...flip flops will likely cause you an injury!

RNLI lifeguards are on the beach daily and do a great job keeping people safe and tending to any injured.

Great beach...enough said!‬

‪Stunning Sandymouth‬

‪We visited here on the cloudiest day of our week in Nth Cornwall. Even so it was pretty spectacular so on a sunny day it must be amazing.
We parked in the National Trust car park (members so free) not that busy, probably due to weather. Mr Grumpy car park man (I thought he was volunteering but advised me “wouldn’t work here unless they paid me !!!”)
informed us also it gets crazy in the summer, they apparently though hv fields they open up to park in.
The beach itself is gorgeous rocky & sandy. As it’s near to Devon the cliffs are also edging towards the red colour that Devon is famous for.
The tide was out on our visit so we had a long walk in both directions.
Beautiful beach with plenty of space for everyone.
Dog friendly too.‬

‪Amazing sunset‬

‪I've seen it from above. The sea is gorgeous and it is an amazing sunset spot. Many people do gather at the end of the day to watch the sunset.‬

‪Great beach‬
יוני 2021
‪The beach is National Trust owned and run, so free parking if a member. Unlike most other beaches in the area where the parking is run by a privately run business where blue badge holders have to pay and there are no attendants so many wasted spaces with poor parking this one is run very well with free disabled parking. The short walk down to the beach is well worth it as one is met by varied rock formations, water falls and a great beach. Interesting rock pools. Good surfing but would recommend checking the tide times as at high tide it is rocks and pebbles, sand at low tide. Great cafe by the car park and a short walk up rewards a fab coastal view.‬
