‪Great bike ride‬
נוב׳ 2019
‪If you have a reasonable level of fitness I would wholeheartedly recommend this. Hatta led us, first to the market then to the pagoda. Hatta is a top man, we enjoyed his company. The market is interesting, all different types of food and some fake handbag and sunglasses you may want to buy. The pagoda is great if you climb to the top and admire the views.
The bike ride is mainly flat and you pass through interesting places. We loved this. ‬

‪Only on Sunday till maybe around 1pm. My parents favorite place. Tempe RM5 for 3 packets. Friendly vendors, can haggle. The ayam berempah is yumssss. Also try the bubur kacang hitam. Bought ikan bilis. Not as crowded as Gaya Street. ‬

‪Market visit‬
מרץ 2017 • זוגות
‪Took the bike ride excursion from the hotel. Started at 8am about 13kms each way taking and hour and a half to get there. Hard ride, some on main road and HOT! We were able to park the bikes at 1 single location where they were looked after. Out guide took us around the market first before letting us loose. Fabulaous mixture of food, hardware, handbags sunglasses you name it you name it all in one area but devided up. Before leaving we visited the local Pagoda, simply breath taking but without the hotel guide we would have missed it. Ride back at 1230 gaim reverse route quite hard, you can get taxi's etc but these tend to be quite expensive. One guy said u can order Uber cars cheaper so that's an alternative but well worth the journey even though it was hot and sweaty, loved it, cold beer went down very well at the poolside!‬

‪Interesting‬

‪Interesting to come here just to look around the market. 15 minutes from the Shangri-La Rasa Ria. It is mainly a food market, nothing touristy here. I asked the taxi to stop off at the San Ling Tuaran pagoda on the way back, really nice.‬

‪Abundant of fruits ‬
ספט׳ 2016 • חברים
‪Tuaran Sunday market host to hundreds of stalls where local farmers come out from various small village and sell their fruits.

The main fruits which you can find are bananas, and pineapples.

Seasonable fruits such as tarap, mangosteen and langsat is a must try in the market.

‪Interesting To Look Around‬
ספט׳ 2016 • זוגות
‪We visited on a Sunday morning at around 8:30, wanting to experience something outside of the resort. The taxi cost 100 MYR for a return trip, the driver came to pick us up at an agreed time and it took 10-15 mins from Rasa Ria resort.

I love a market but my partner was less keen - I think as we were the only tourists he felt a bit uneasy. It was really interesting to look around - there is loads of fish at ridiculously cheap prices, but kept very differently to what you'd see in the UK. A highlight for me was seeing five or six live crabs being out into a carrier bag, can't see them staying in there long! Other than the food it's a lot of knock off clothes and bags etc but some nice stalls for traditional sarongs. We didn't try any of the food - having seen the flies and things on the fish it was a bit off putting considering our stomachs aren't used to it but I bet a lot of it tasted as lovely as it smelt.

It was strange being the only westerners around but quite refreshing, everyone was really friendly and waving out of cars at us.

One recommendation if you're staying at the resort - hit the 7/11 or other shops and stock up on snacks, nuts, crisps etc for the afternoon. Local brands are insanely cheap and good but even some of the imports like Pringles are a lot cheaper than the resort. ‬

‪Typical Sunday market‬
יוני 2016
‪We went here on a Sunday morning. Was very very hot. Nothing different from other Sunday markets in Asia.. Local snacks, vegetables, knock offs of some sports t-shirts,some local wares.

I would not recommend if you've seen a Sunday market somewhere else in Asia or unless you need to buy some local snacks.‬

‪Went there at 7.00 a.m with kids & hubby.

You can buy fresh seafoods, vegetables and fruits and so many more..

Prices are reasonable and negotiable.

Go early because quite difficult to find proper parking.

‪Mountain biking to fresh food‬
דצמ׳ 2015 • משפחה
‪We stayed at the Sangrila Rasa Ria Resort and on Sunday decided to do a bike tour to the Sunday market. It was around 4 hours with about a 1 and half hour stop at the market. It was a 28km tour. There is a guide who accompanied us-AYU and she was excellent. At the market everything fresh is available from calabash to brinjal to fruit. There is also a variety of seafood available and it very cheap. However living in a hotel makes it difficult to buy. The vibe is good and there are a few restaurants at the market where one can tuck into malaysian delicacies. It can get very hot esp on the way back so carry sun screen and mozzie spray and lots of water.‬
