‪Long walk but so worth it‬
יולי 2021
‪Originally we were only going to do the small walk to the first lookout but each time we went a little further and then couldnt stop ourselves as we didnt want to miss out on anything that may be around the corner. Some of it is hard work but with a medium fitness you could do it.Stunning scenery and rock formations. You could walk as far as the Karingana Lookout and return the way you came but your basically half way so you may as well continue the whole way around and the walking is easier‬

‪The circuit walk is amazing! It is so different to Uluru and people should be talking about this place more.

The cost to get into the national park is $35 per person for 3 days so add this to your agenda. The full circuit is just over 7 km or you could just stop at the first lookout which is only approx. 1 km one way, the full hike it not so hard but there is some stairs and steep sections. The lookouts throughout the hike are magical, loved it!

‪Brilliant challenging walk in awe-inspiring location.‬
משפחה • מאי 2021
‪A brilliant, challenging walk in this very special, awe inspiring location. Lots of up and downhill climbing so needs a decent level of fitness. We did it in winter which was a beautiful temperature but I can only imagine how hard it would be in the warmer months. Highly recommended.‬

‪A highlight of our trip‬
יוני 2021
‪Absolutely loved this walk. It is tough in places, with one, thankfully short section resembling a rock-climbing wall. But absolutely worth it. Loved being in such an incredible place on foot - gives you a different perspective on life!
The walk took us only 2 hours 15 minutes, but we had cool weather, and we are both relatively fit and healthy. I would allow much longer in different circumstances.
The only toilet facilities are at the start, so plan your trip! Good signage and spots available to top up drinking water.
Really enjoyed the walk, and inspired to do more. Went on to complete the other shorter walks available, which give different views and perspectives, and enjoyed them all.‬

‪This was our Uluru-Kata Tjuta high point‬
יוני 2021
‪We spend three days in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and saw some brilliant scenery, including a totally awesome sunset at Uluru. But probably our favourite site was the Valley of the Winds walk in the Kata Tjuta (aka 'The Olgas' aka 'Many Heads') section of the National Park. We did the full-circuit, said to be only 7.4 km, but took us close to 4 hours. It is tough walk but some amazing views make it very rewarding. Some good bird life to spot too including flocks of budgies and zebra finches. All the advice given by National Parks is rock solid, so follow it: start early, wear a hat and sunscreen, and carry plenty of water and a few snacks. I would add another, bring along a fly net. Facilities here are limited - a toilet block and that is about it. If you still have the energy I would suggest you also try the nearby Walpa Gorge walk, which is also very rewarding. The red glowing cliffs towering above you as you enter the gorge are just extraordinary.‬

‪Aptly Named‬

‪This is a grade 4 walk but is quite doable by anyone who is relatively fit. My wife and I are 70 and we loved it. It was a highlight of our time at Uluru. We did it in 2.45 hours with a couple of rest stops for snacks and water.
The track is clearly marked. You won’t get lost.
The walk is aptly named. The first section to the lookout is easy but the winds almost knocked you off your feet. Luckily, the whole walk is not like that. Once you get past the first lookout there are fewer people and you get great vistas and solitude.
We went in late May so the heat wasn’t a problem. They do shut the track if it is going to reach 36.
There were no flies this time of the year.
Only tips, you do need really good walking shoes as it is all large uneven gravel, and you do need lots of water. Parks says 2 litres but this time of year (21 degrees) we found a litre pp was fine. Double that amount as it warms up after winter.
PS we were amazed by the amount of wildflowers this time of the year....just beautiful.‬

‪An amazing experience‬
מאי 2021
‪After our sunrise at the dunes viewing area w drove on to the Valley of the Winds, about 40 kms from Yulara. There are 3 options the full walk around 3 hrs at level 4, there are some steep climbs you need to be reasonably fit and able to handle steps up and down of varying heights, a walk to lookout 1 about 45 minutes return a reasonably easy walk up a steady grade. You can also, push on to the Second Lookout, which is much more interesting than the first lookout, but the Level 4 walking makes it a challenge if you don’t have reasonable fitness. I did the walk to the second lookout; it was worth the effort, but I certainly felt it. With this walk followed by the easier Walpa walk I did over 22,000 steps for the day.‬

‪Incredible!!‬

‪Absolutely loved this walk! The scenery is incredible and while it is a little challenging up to lookout 2, it’s relatively easy from there and so worth the effort. Make sure you set out early and take a fly net and plenty of water.‬

‪Fantastic walk‬
דצמ׳ 2019
‪Kata Tjuta is another famous rock formation in the Outback but not to compare with Uluru. Both are awesome. Kata Tjuta is a formation of 36 mountains. The Valley of the Wind walk was amazing. We went to the Karu Lookout. It was a moderate hike sometimes with short steep hills but in general good to walk. It's important to start early and take enough drinking water with you. Take you're time to visit this great place.‬

‪Should not be overlooked‬
אוק׳ 2020
‪Uluru (Ayers Rock) is famous worldwide but your stay is not complete without visiting its lesser known but scenically more interesting cousin Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) just 50 km down the road. The best way to experience Kata Tjuta is to do the Valley of the Winds walk. The full circuit takes about four hours but we were pressed for time so we turned round at the Karingana lookout (two hours return), from which you get magnificent views into the pound in the middle of the Olgas and back along the gorge you have just walked up. The trail is rated grade 4 but I would put it at grade 3. I am 72 and my wife 68 and we managed it with no difficulty. Neither did the family of four ahead of us, although the youngest child was given a lift on her dad's shoulders from time to time.‬
