This is a nice small church on the Plaza Mayor but the best thing about it is the couple of Santa Semana figures outside which make a real statement it their hoods and cloaks.

Is in the middle of Plaza Mayor. Nothing amazing, but was a formidable tour, the town is very charming.

The church of San Juan de Puerta Nueva or church of San Juan Bautista. This parochial church is called like this, because of his location close to one of the old gates who was part of the surrounding walls of the Old Town of Zamora, and in the middle of the “Plaza Mayor”, she has being dedicated to San Juan Bautista. The origin of the building of this church should be in the year 1172 and took an end in the 12th century.

A igreja é pequena, mas acolhedora com interiores trabalhados. As janelas são fora do comum.
The church is small, but cosy and with detailed work in its interior. The windows don't all have the usual colored glass.

Situated in the heart of the old part of the town, in the Plaza Mayor, this lovely Romanesque church dates back to the 12th century and has been well restored.

A beautiful Romanesque church with amazing stone work. Also a collection of religious art and tapestries. The whole town was built in the 12 c. with a large castle too. The bridge I think is Roman that leads to the town.

A beautiful medieval church right in the center of Plaza Mayor in Zamora. If you like Romanesque architecture this is definitely a monument worth your time. The statues on the outside are amazing!
