My recent trip to Sierra Leone was the first introduction to West Africa.
It was such a rich and fulfilling trip for me which could not have been possible without the beautifully orchestrated itinerary curated by IPC Travel and most importantly, our guide Mr. Osman K.
Osman’s wealth of knowledge and passion for Sierra Leone made each segment that much more meaningful.
I asked “many” questions and was always provided with answers that enlightened me.
The arrival and departure process were simple and seamless with clear communication from IPC Travel.
Our transfer vehicles were comfortable and stocked with beverages.
Our accommodation provided spectacular views of the ocean and dining options to satisfy all food preferences.
Our tours beautifully touched on all the important categories of a destination:
FOOD
We had the honor of cooking with Chef Miatta Marke, founder of Sierra Leone's first traditional fine dining restaurant.
HISTORY
Bunce Island is such a special place and one that every traveler that appreciates history should visit.
ARTS & CULTURE
We got our hands deep in and learned the unique and special art of GARA Tie-dye with a 3rd generation Tie-dye master and fashion designer, Miss Isatu Harrison of IZELIA
A visit to Brama Town came with what seemed like a celebration of our arrival! The kind and loving people of Brama Town welcomed us through music and dance. We got to learn about their art of basked weaving and even had a chance at weaving our own baskets.
IPC Travel is certainly going in my book of preferred operator for great service with a wholesome experience. I highly recommend IPC Travel!

IPC Freetown made our trip to Sierra Leone absolutely seamless! Their services were outstanding, and they took care of every detail, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish. Shereen was fantastic—she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to address all of our requests and needs. Her knowledge and dedication made us feel completely supported throughout the trip. Thanks to IPC Freetown, we were able to fully relax and enjoy the journey. We would definitely use their services again for future travels and highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Sierra Leone! Our guide Ousman is one of the best in the industry and provided us with so much insightful information.

Most amazing experience ever. I had no idea of what to expect in Freetown, Sierra Leone. IPC Travel took care of everything from start to finish, covering every detail. Thank you Sherin, and our most incredible guide Ousman! He took charge and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. I had such a great time that Ousman is now part of my extended family. Our driver Elusine was patient, skillful, respectful, and even funny at times! He shared many funny stories about his family and experiences growing up in Sierra Leone which the group enjoyed. Will definitely be back soon! Thanks for a wonderful time! ❤️ 🇸🇱

I had the great pleasure of working with Sherrin from IPC, Travel in Freetown Sierra Leone for myself and my family’s travel needs from December 2023 to February 2024 to Sierra Leone from the US.
For the past two years, I’ve been worked with this extraordinaire, travel agent, Sherrin from IPC travels for my travel needs to Sierra Leone and the experience has been nothing short but amazing.
Sherrin works very hard in finding me exclusive fares and the best deals including upgrades, with the airlines with such ease and less stress to me. She also effortlessly coordinates my ground and water transportation needs from Lungi airport to Aberdeen without any worrying on my part .
Traveling at such long-distance with multiple airports to maneuver has never been a worry for me when working with Sherrin and her effort doesn’t go unnoticed
She also handles my immigration and visa needs which brings such calm to me. She’s a master at what she does, and does it so well
I’ve even had the pleasure of participating in one of her beautifully planned boat tours on the beautiful turtle Island in Sierra Leone , and I look forward to doing many more business deals with her and IPC Travels
They come highly recommended by me.

As we had very special interest in visiting Sierra Leone, and most notably mask dances (Sowei, Poro, Gongoli…), I was looking for an agency willing to go the extra Mile to give us the opportunities to witnes these cultural ceremonies. Sherin from IPC Travel was just that. We exchanged for multiple weeks, putting together the best possible plan. Sherin was listening to all our ideas and was very flexible trying to arrange everything.
Almost everything worked out as expected, except one performance which was cancelled last minute by the Ojeh Secret Society. I guess it’s impossible to control everything in this kind of special interests tour. Our guide Ousman was generally good and knowledgeable but unfortunately less proactive than we would have hoped and not always respectful or aware of our tight schedule - he claimed not feeling well, and luckily most of the time we had local community guides standing up in his place and assisting us.
At the end of our stay, Sherin even managed to get us a complimentary copy of a rare book (out of press) on Sierra Leone’s masks. Thanks again for this!
In short: I would book again with IPC and I would recommend them to friends and colleagues as I believe they are simply the best travel agency in Salone! I am giving “only” 4 stars, because of the small hiccups mentioned before.

IPC Travel is a great tour operator / travel agency in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Their staff is very knowledgable and passionate about Sierra Leone and will give you detailed and accurate information and organize any trip you want with great care. The Manager, Ms. Sherin, is very professional and passionate about tourism in Sierra Leone, has an answer to all your questions related to Sierra Leone, and can arrange and customize the type of tour or day trip that you like.
I have done 4 trips with IPC travel and enjoyed all of them: I did the Historic City Tour with the guide Mr. Osman, and he is knows the history of this place and the context in and out. I also did the Bunce Island tour to see the so-called slave island. Very interesting and eye-opening. Then, I did 2 yoga weekend retreats, one on Banana Island and one on Kent beach, with the yoga teacher Ms. Rima, who is excellent, professional and of course, certified. We also had lots of fun.
I can highly recommend IPC Travel.

Despite the raining day in Freetown, the tour was great. We discovered a part of the ancient history of Freetown, walking around the centre of the city. Our guide was well prepared, pleasant and he was able to keep the attention of the group. IPC travel organised a great short adventure around the old town. Highly suggested.

Over 2 years ago we began to plan a 95 day tour of West Africa to include Sierra Leone. Our intention was to hire a private 4x4 vehicle and experienced driver for an 18 day comprehensive tour of the country at reasonable cost beginning at the Liberian border and ending in Freetown.We contacted IPC along with other companies in the country. We presented our proposed schedule to IPC and were impressed by the fast response from a lovely lady called Sherin. After organising the logistics of the trip ie road conditions etc she gave us a quote for the 18 days at a very reasonable rate, to include the 4x4 vehicle, the driver and his expenses but excluding fuel. Unfortunately the trip was cancelled twice due to Covid but Sherin kept in touch during the pandemic keeping us informed on the strict entry and exit Covid rules and we finally got to Sierra Leone in February.
The vehicle was a modern comfortable 4x4 with a courteous and professional driver who was always on time.
The trip was very successful and enjoyable and our thanks go out to IPC especially Sherin and our driver.
