We had a really nice experience in this elephant care center!
They are improving the conditions + the touristic approach to make it more ethical and better for the elephants
The staff was helpful and we had a tour to the waterfalls + tasteful lunch with feet spa

What an amazing experience! We did the 3 activities tour. First elephant care you see that the elephants are well treated and happy. Then we went to a beautiful waterfall and we ended up with the bamboo rafting. During the bamboo rafting you pass a lot of elephants so amazing to see! Thanks do Lilida and her team for being so kind and teaching us a lot about elephants and Chang mai! Ps: food was amazing!! 🐘

We had a very cool day! The trip was origenized very well, and our guide Bob was super friendly! At the santuary they were treating the elephants very well.

We opted for the half day tour due to the humidity. We were promptly collected from our hotel at 7am. We enjoyed the 1.5hr scenic drive to the sanctuary. The two elephants we meet looked well cared for. The lunch that was provided was plentiful and delicious. The waterfall we visited after was ok. It was busy and the climb up the steps back to the car was tiring in the heat. Fantastic day out. Highly recommend. Thank you

We had a great day at Blue Daily Elephant Sanctuary with Nikey. The elephants are so friendly and amazing to be around. This was my second time at Blue Daily Elephant and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. Such a good experience.

This was honestly such a wonderful trip! Completely personal with an amazing guide (Lida) there were no hidden costs and the trip was exactly as advertised if not better! We were 4 adults, 2 children and 1 infant. We did our research before we left and we were very keen that wherever we went was an ethical experience and also suitable for the kids age 2, 4 and 7. We booked this from the UK on their website and it was pay in cash on the day. The bus was on time the morning of the trip, and the whole day was just our family which was really nice. From the minute we arrived Lida went the extra mile! As we walked along to the elephants she showed us plants that closed when you touched them, ones you could blow bubbles from their stems, told us facts about the fields, pointed out frogs and mini beasts… the kids hate walking anywhere in the heat but with all these extras they didn’t even notice they were walking. We then got dressed into our clothes and boots before making medicine balls for the elephants. After this we got to meet the elephants; you could tell they were so well treated, with so much space, there was no aggression at all from the handlers; no sticks just managed with a LOT of food and love. Feeding was the highlight of the boys day. We then walked down to the river to bathe the elephants; when Lida noticed I struggled she picked up on it and gave me a walking stick to use and she was incredible helping the kids in the mud. Washing the elephants was great fun and Lida had taken our phone at the start of the day and got amazing pictures. We then went up to feed the elephants their medicine before lunch. The lunch was really really good; massamam, rice, sweet and sour and loads of fruit. While we ate under the table was warm foot spa bowls filled with herbs and oils (a lovely extra touch) One of the children o had been feeling ill that morning and after the adrenaline that had got him through the elephants he seriously flagged. Mr Lid and Lida were so supportive though and let him sleep on the aircon bus for the whole afternoon at the other experiences. We hit the waterfall next…. I sat with my son but the rest of the party loved this even in the rain! Then off to the bamboo rafting…. I was so sad the poorly one missed out on this as it was just fab! Bouncing down the river with our lovely raft guide.
12 years ago we actually did a similar elephant experience without the kids (we did our research for that one too) but I can honestly say this one was head and shoulders better, more personal and just fab! Would recommend to everyone! Ours was the full day experience.

We did the half day morning elephant excursion and loved it! We were the only 2 on our tour, and after a nice drive through the countryside, we got to make food for the two elephants, feed them, then hike with them down to the river. We watched them eat for at least 45 minutes, then watched them bathe in the river, then feed them again. Lots of opportunities for pictures and videos and respectful interaction with the elephants. Our guide Toto taught us so much about the elephants and their keepers. We ended the morning with a delicious lunch and comfortable drive back to our hotel. This was a very special day!

Bit of a twisting road to get there but great views from top of the mountain when you do. Had welcome talk about sanctuary & elephants & donned our poncho-esk gowns (no need for wellies in dry season, trainers did get a bit dusty so don’t wear your designer white ones!!). They give you a bag with your lunch in & can put a few essentials in for day, the rest stays in your locker till you get back at end. Made food balls for elephants then fed them breakfast - even got to put it straight in their mouth as well as mostly feeding from end of trunk. Walked behind them to another feeding spot & our lunch stop, here they had water from us too (bit reluctant at first but then downed a jug in one). After lunch we followed them to the river, which was a bit shallow & not all elephants in mood for a scrub/attention but keepers just followed elephants lead & they didn’t appear to be forced into anything. After a bathe it was back to base to feed them their food balls we made earlier & say goodbye. Nice day, plodding along at elephants pace (which can be quite slow if going uphill or if there’s food around).

We went as a family of five in February and i would absolutely recommend this to everyone! We had a great time feeding the elephants, walking with them and even bathing them (some of us did that). It was a great way to understand elephants. The lunch was delicious which was made even better by a foot bath at the same time. Thank you very much to Mr. Billy and the sanctuary.

We booked the Blue Daily tour with our friend’s recommendation.
We went there with my husband and we were the only couple on Sunday. It was like a private tour:)
They picked up us from our hotel and went to area.
Tour guide Billy is super nice and helpful. He took our photos and videos during we are together with elephants. There were 2 educators with elephants and they gave us courage all the day.
After finishing tour , a lady prepared meal for us and it feels us like we are at our home.
Thank you for everything we never forget you🫶🏻

I'm sorry I cannot answer that question. We witnessed the animal being treated very humanely, almost like beloved pets. We never saw them chained or restricted.

Da quante persone e quanti elefanti sono composti i gruppi? Sono indeciso se prenotare qui dove ci sono anche elefanti piccoli che mi piacerebbe incontrare, oppure in un altro sito dove per ogni elefante ci sono massimo due persone. Qui per ogni elefante ci sono più persone? Grazie

Has anyone done the tour that includes the temple and rafting and elephant care park? Does that give you enough time at the park with elephants? We have only 2 full days in Chiang Mai and want to get as much out of it as possible but not crazy kill ourselves either!

Yes I did. They do not ask for credit card info. You pay in cash after the tour. Book it. Best tour hands down!

With the bamboo rafting, how do they get you to get on and off of the raft. My mum broke her knee earlier this year and getting up is a struggle. Do you get off in the water or do you have to stand up on it to get off?

Hi there, I want to book the bamboo rafting, wat busy tong, waterfall and elephant trip. How much walking is involved to get to these places. The person I’m going with broke her knee in March and still gets pain when overdoing it.
