‪Beautiful Night and Day‬
פבר׳ 2021
‪This main entrance to the Imperial Citadel has bee recently rebuild and is beautiful. Yes, it's true that it's not the original but it's a stunning, masterful recreation of the gate that once stood at this site. It is really worth a visit. Even if you don't go in, you can see this from outside of the complex. It's almost more impressive at night when the city lights it up in dramatic fashion.‬

‪So much history behind these gates ...‬
ינו׳ 2020
‪This is "Cua Ngo Mon", the famous "Noon Gate" - the main and "exclusive" entrance of the emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty into the awesome "Imperial Citadel" and its innermost enclosure: the "Forbidden Purple City". It is sided by four other gates, two on each side. The left and right gates were used by civil and military mandarins. The remaining two, on the far left and on the far right corners, were used by servants, soldiers, elephants and horses serving in the royal processions. Amazing history! This fantastic structure was principally built during Emperor Minh Mang's reign, at the beginning of the 19th century. Magnificent "Thái Hòa Palace" (with its beautiful "Throne Hall") is just behind "Noon Gate". Unmissable at any visit to Hue! Enjoy!‬

‪The main gate to the Imperial palace‬
פבר׳ 2020
‪This is the main gate into the Imperial palace. It is quite impressive and has five entry points. The center gate was for the emperor to enter, the two gates to either side was for ministers and senior officers and the remaining two gates was for the public to enter. Impressive and imposing.

Enjoy!‬

‪Most Beautiful Access Gate Into The Imperial City‬
מרץ 2019
‪The Noon Gate is the main entrance of ten, into the Imperial City. Situated in front of the Throne Palace, the Noon Gate was designed by Emperor Gia Long, and constructed in 1823. It is considered the most beautiful of the gates and is quite impressive.‬

‪the noon gate at the entrance of the palace. So much history you really need a guide to explain everything and take you thru the grounds otherwise you miss out on so much. Worth a Visit‬

‪Majestic Entrance‬
לבד • יוני 2019
‪One of the highlights of the Imperial City. Worth some photos. You won’t see structures inside the Imperial City of similar size or semblance. Unfortunately, this is because of the Battle of Tet ‘68 when US Marines and ARVN soldiers fought to uproot NVA and Viet Cong who were heavily dugin, with the Imperial City literally caught in the middle. The numerous ruins and restoration projects inside the city are essentially the only memorials left here to commemorate those who died on both sides.‬

‪The noon Gate was nice to explore a bit, as we were too tired to be out in the hot sun. The Noon Gate is quite huge and looks quite nice. Entrance tickets are reasonably priced. Not sure if the kids would enjoy it though if it's too hot.‬
