Gilad was an amazing tour guide! He introduced all of Israel to my mom and I (from the the North, to Jerusalem to the Dead Sea) and did an excellent job. Gilad was patient, kind, thoughtful, entertaining and was full of more historical, biblical and archaeological knowledge that we could have ever imagined. He thought of little things to make us happy and make our experience incredible, which are too sweet and numerous to list all here. He became like family, with my mom loving him. I can’t say enough good things about his input, suggestions and knowledge. I highly recommend Gilad as your Israeli your guide.

Gilad is superb. He has an impressive knowledge base and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. He is fun/enjoyable, customizes the tour to your interests and is flexible/accommodating. He was extremely helpful setting up the logistics and had great suggestions. We learned and saw so much. We have traveled quite a lot and he is without a doubt the best tour guide we have ever had. He made it a trip of a life time.

I returned last week from a 12-day trip to Israel and Petra, designed and guided on a private tour (myselff and one travel buddy) by Gilad Suffrin. Early on, the 3 of us met via a Zoom call, where Gilad asked about our style, foals and interests for the trip, as well as discussing cost issues. He then prepared a perceptive and insightful itinerary. He assisted us in every way, planning accommodations, visa and coordination for the Jordan connection. He was the best tour guide we have ever had on our numerous previous travels. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable about the country, the history, archeology, as well as current events. He has a unique ability to turn the historical events into human stories, fascinating and memorable..

My husband and I decided to visit Israel for the fourth time and chose Gilad Suffrin as our guide because he was very responsive during the planning stage. That was a really great decision! We did not want to repeat our previous trips, and Gilad was able to take us to many places the average tourist misses. He could point to a field and vividly describe the battle between David and Goliath, making the scene come alive. He was able to relate a portion of the Bible to the place we were visiting, and add additional history, so that we understood what we were seeing, rather than just looking at something. It is obvious that Gilad really enjoys sharing his country, and that made our trip very special. I am so glad Gilad was our guide, we couldn't have chosen better!

My family and I spent a week with Gilad Suffrin in Israel. I could not have asked for a better guide. The week was an intellectually stimulating immersion into the history and culture of the Levant, stretching from before 1000 B.C.E to today. The breadth of his knowledge was truly amazing — far greater than I could imagine any one person having and far greater than any of my prior guides. Gilad’s use of pictures, maps and timelines as we were touring enhanced the experience and helped us retain as much information as possible. In addition, Gilad is very pleasant and easy to be with and he encouraged and welcomed our seemingly never-ending questions. I could not more highly recommend Gilad as a guide.

Gilad more than exceeded our expectations as a guide and caring person. His knowledge about Israel, its history and archaeological sites was at a level well above what we expected. His stories brought the history to life for us. He treated us like family, and made our stay that much more enjoyable.
Not only did he act as a guide, he fulfilled all requirements necessary to enhance our journey throughout Israel. He made excellent restaurant recommendations and reservations and arranged for our transportation needs when it was not his responsibility. He went over and above the duties normally provided by a guide.
Anyone considering hiring a private guide to tour Israel could not possibly do any better than Gilad Suffrin.

Gilad is an incredible guide, one of the best I have ever met! I had the honour to be in his group for our 10-day study trip in Israel. He is very knowledgeable, caring about his guests and doing everything possible to make your journey unforgettable! Such a multifaceted personality!

You MUST hire Gilad Suffrin if you are planning a trip to Israel! He is extremely knowledgeable, pleasant, prompt and helpful, and an excellent driver!We told him what we definitely wanted to see and do and he made those arrangements and also made other interesting suggestions.. We were in Jerusalem during Chanukah and it was breathtaking and exciting. the Bullet Factory
was an amazing and interesting tour - not to be missed as well as visiting the caves and Mesada. The land is filled with history and Gilad will bring the story to life for you, and he is very appreciative of your questions

We spent 10 days with Gilad touring much of the country. His knowledge of history (both secular and religious), architecture, horticulture, and the region is absolutely amazing. And he is a genuinely nice and kind person. We had a fantastic vacation!

Is this a private tour in The Jewish Quarter in old city, Jerusalem only? Is it suitable for Orthodox Jews?

Sorry for the late answer, Moe. While touring I answer only urgent emails... Anyway, as my ex-tourists (and now friends) mentioned above, I adapt the tour to the person involved and not vice versa. To do that I need to know more about you and your expectations.

I'm interested in visiting active archeological site(s) during a trip to Israel with my wife from10/4/15 to 10/14. We are planning our own itinerary. Not our first Israeli trip.
