‪Beautiful views from the top and in lovely surroundings too. Extremely cheap to visit as is the coffee shop too. Good play area for children.‬

‪The lighthouse offers a lift up to the 8th floor, with stairs leading to the top after that. At the summit, visitors are treated to views of Kovalam Beach and the sea. Entry costs Rs 10 per adult and an additional Rs 10 for every mobile phone. Despite the narrow road leading to it, there's enough parking space. Plan for a 45-minute visit. It's open from 10 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2 PM to 5 PM, but closed on Mondays. The lift goes only to the 2nd level. The final steps are steep and may not be suitable for older visitors. The lighthouse offers a mix of maritime history and scenic views, with well-kept grounds. Near Vizhinjam Fishing Harbor, it has informative displays on maritime navigation. Facilities include a food court and ample parking. A children's play area and musical fountain are under development. One can get a very beautiful view of the Kovalam Ocean and the Kovalam second Crescent half moon Beach from here. There is a way leading directly down towards the second Crescent Half Moon Beach and swimming here is very peaceful with less crowd. It's especially busy at sunset and on weekends.‬
