‪ Thycaud Uchumaali Amman Kovil is located at the top of M G Radhakrishnan Road in Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram. This temple is dedicated to Uchumali Amman, a form of Shakti, who is associated with prosperity and health. The Devi idol, made of the rare Panchaloha metal, faces north (Vadakku) and goddess is depicted in green, making this temple distinct from other Devi temples. The temple also houses shrines for Lord Siva, Lord Ganesha, Nagas, and Madan Thampuran. The annual festival is celebrated in February or March. Recently, the temple was renovated showcasing the authentic Kerala temple architecture, featuring beautiful wood carvings and stone sculptures. Its unique and stunning architecture naturally catches the eye of anyone passing through the main junction. The temple is located 1.7 km from Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station. Other nearby landmarks include the Thycaud Sri Dharma Sastha Temple, just 240 meters away, and Bharat Bhavan, directly opposite Uchumali Amman Kovil. The temple is very easily accessible and vehicles can be parked near the roadside on the way to Kerala Police Ground.‬
