I recently purchased a Marc Chagall lithograph while on vacation (Feb 9th). When I was at the gallery I was told by Moshe that the piece was about the creation of man. When I googled the painting at the hotel I was able to confirm it as “creation of man.” Now that I am in receipt of the lithograph I have a few concerns: 1). The certificate of authenticity furnished calls the lithograph “angel and heaven”, which I have not been able to find anywhere as a reference. Secondly, the creation of man depiction is flipped meaning when I view it on the internet the original had the angel on the left and heaven on the right contrary to the litho I was given with the angel in the right and heaven on the left. Finally the signature line does not appear genuine. Is it merely a stamp? So my concerns center around whether this limited edition lithograph is more like a really expensive poster. I previously sent an email to you over a week ago but have not heard a response. Please kindly respond to my concerns.
