‪I toured Termessos with Onder and I have to say it was the best tour I’ve ever been on. I doubt anyone knows more about Termessos than Onder and his passion for this beautiful ancient city is evident. What a great guy - in addition to archeology and history we talked about music, art and family. It was 4 hours of viewing amazing sites and laughter. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! ‬

‪Well worth the hike.‬

‪Well, it's quite a hike to get to the top, but well worth it. Moderate fitness, good waking shoes, and plenty of water needed. The steep walk-up is about 2.2km & at the top easy walking but with some climbing on ruins. Stunning views, not many people around.‬

‪I've been to many Roman sites over the past 20 years but nothing beats this place - hidden away in the most wonderful protected valley, totally untouched. Seeing the theatre for the first time is genuinely beyond description (I had a lump in my throat) - and totally deserted. MAGIC. ‬

‪Lovely hike and a great ancient theater‬

‪Great place to explore ancient ruins and get in a good hike! You climb the mountain with signs along the way to tell you what ruins you are seeing. There are plenty of areas of shade along the path. You do climb on/over rocks. Not too many people either. It is 30 minutes north of the city so you would have to arrange transportation if you don't have a car.‬

‪an amazing walk/hike to the ruins. beautiful views and discovery of an ancient civilization and how they lived . The amphitheater was breath taking. The walk is well worth it and great exercise.‬

‪This is an extraordinary site, quite unlike the order and civilisation of Aspendos or Perge, for instance; both for its ambitious, almost brutal architecture - mindboggling that people built such edifices with gigantic stone blocks and on such a steep site - and for the mayhem that an earthquake created. We'd recommend hiring a car, going with a good-quality guidebook (or downloads), and taking your time up there. The 9km route up from the entrance is tarmac and in good repair. There is a teahouse near this entrance and there are basic toilets at the top car park. Here too, in his hut, is the wonderful Bekir, who has been here for 30 years and is the most kindly and courteous man. If he has time, he can show you carvings you will never spot yourself on the nearby tombs and advise you on the best route to take, so stop by to talk to him and maybe buy a small souvenir. Don't miss the theatre (a good spot for your picnic) or the cemeteries.‬

‪Great 1/2 day excursion and relatively easy short hike‬

‪A straight forward hike up to plenty of ancient ruins. None of which are cordoned off or out of reach so you really feel you can get close to the history. We got a 45 min taxi from our hotel in Antalya. Paid 1000 TL for the return journey and for the driver to wait for us and an extra 20 TL entry to the park.

Can’t go wrong with the route once at the car park, literally a straight hike up with a little bit of scrambling at the end!‬

‪We went to Termessos with our own car on August 1, 2022. You definitely need a car to go there, it is about 32 km from Antalya. The entrance fee for one person was 20 lira. It is 9 km from the entrance to the beginning of the Thermosos trail. Then from there the walk starts up and among and between the rocks. We were there for about 4 hours because we sat in many places and thought about the old days and their art and of course we enjoyed the views of the mountains and the forest. If you love nature and ancient monuments, I definitely recommend going there, wear good shoes, take enough water with you, you can also take a simple sandwich for lunch. I didn't see any store to buy water and food, and finally, if you have knee and foot problems this place is not suitable for you.‬
