‪Gem of a museum‬

‪This is beautiful small museum dedicated to Art Nouveau. Well worth a few hours with a guided tour. Bit short on exhibits but the design is sublime. Staff are very helpful.‬

‪In Samara for a Few Hours? Come Here!‬

‪The concentration of artefacts here is amazing, but they do not overpower you. Conveniently located in the historical city centre, this place is perfect for a visit even if you have just a few hours to kill in Samara.‬

‪The finest Belle Epoque dresses I've ever seen and some good pieces of rurniture‬
לבד • דצמ׳ 2016
‪On the top floor there is an exhibition of fine Belle Époque dresses. Since the owner was a millionaire, they are of exceptional quality and since they were almost never worn, they are very well preserved. As a man I don’t have such a big interest in clothes, but I confess that this exhibition interested me.
On the ground floor you’ll find some fine examples of furniture and decorations of the Art Nouveau era. The living room is rather unique since there were only 5 made like this. The ceilings are new, but a reconstruction of the original ceilings.
I never had so many tickets for one museum. There is a ticket for the upper floor (RUB 250) and then there is a ticket for every room on the ground floor. So don’t be mistaken by the entrance fee of RUB 80, since it is only for the lobby. The ground floor tickets total RUB 200. Since the exceptional quality of most items, I think the tickets are worth the price.‬

‪One of the best museums in Samara‬

‪A beautiful merchant's villa from the beginning of the last century. As with most of such houses in Russia, it was significantly damaged during the Bolshevik revolution and the USSR times so most of the features are not original but recently there was a lot of effort made to renovate the place and put it back to its prime condition. The villa is filled with wonderful artwork including paintings, statues and unique furniture. Visit in this house feels like traveling in time to the pre-revolution days. If you're lucky and come during the week, you may also get an excellent guided tour of the property (mine was by Karolina)‬
