האתר ההיסטורי מעניין. כעת הוא בשיפוץ אז לא לגמרי נוח, אבל יוצאת ממנו טיילת לאורך הכנרת, מצד אחד לכנסיות שלאורכה (האורתודורכסית וכנסיית הלחם והדגים) בכיוון השני יוצא שביל לאורך הכנרת עד לחוף אמנון- מקסים!!!

נהדר כמקום נעים ושקט לפיקניק כשכבר לא ממש חם. אבל אין שם מעבר לזה יותר מידי מה לעשות. רק להנות מהשלווה והנוף. שעבורנו זה

עברנו בדרך חזרה ממושב רמות והחלטנו להכנס ולראות את בית הכנסת הלבן וההרוס בכפר נחום ואשר כולל באותו מתחם גם את כנסיית פטרוס
המקום מסור עם דמי כניסה זולים (5 ש"ח לאדם) טיילנו בין העתיקות וההריסות והתרשמנו מבית הכנסת הגדול שהיה שם

ביוני 2019 המקום נראה נטוש ע"י רשות הטבע והגנים. אתר קטן מאוד ושחזור בית הכנסת היה סגור. האתר עוסק בסיפורו של ישו והקשר לכפר נחום. אין הסבר במקום כך שלא תמיד ברור וידוע מה רואים

השילוב של בית הכנסת היהודי על שרידיו יחד עם מוטיבים נוצריים על כל ההיסטוריה האופפת את המקום -מעורר השתאות והתפעלות.

מעיין נסתר הממוקם יותר קרוב לטבחה מאשר לכפר נחום, אבל כנכנסים לאזור מופתעים מנופו היפיפה של המפל הנשפך לתוך הכנרת עם אבנים גלופות יפות לישיבה. מומלץ מאוד להגיע לאזור ולהצטייד בהמון ממתקים ושתיה .

המקום מטופח מאד המקום על שפת הכנרת ומי שאוהב מקום עם עתיקות והיסטוריה זה המקום בשבילו . במקום יש מנזר ופסיפסים ועמודים עתיקים מאד . הגינון והצמחייה מטופחת מאד כייף להסתובב במקום . מקום מעולה למי שאוהב לצלם

Did anyone else get harassed by an angry "priest" who accused you of disrespect for the holy site if you are wearing a sleeveless (Discreet, crisp linen) top? I gave him my view on that: "god created us in his image and how are my shoulders disturbing the sacred? Moreover you have no authority to decide for me how to worship, and if so you should be ashamed to be dressed with khaki shorts and open toe sandals dear sir". I was unable to go inside the glass enclosed area for this and ruined what little credence Abrahamic (body shaming of women only) religious observance holds. This coming from a person whose field is riddled with pedophiliac old men.
Well, at least I got my frustration out here.

If you go to a Jewish temple or holy site, you wear a yarmulke or head scarf. If you enter a Mosque, you take off your shoes. If you enter a Catholic church or holy site, you don't wear a sleeveless shirt. This just shows respect for their traditions and is a display of common courtesy. As I recall, there are signs posted listing proper attire.

I see this park close to Tiberias.... but I see the same ruins/Park in
northen in Capernaum.... is the same kind of Museum in 2 different locations?

I also sent a request to fix the place. The National Park under Israeli Parks and Nature Authority is totally free but open after 8 AM and close before 5 PM. This national park not include the ancient village of Capernaum. The Ancient village of Capernaum is close to here, only 1 km distance to west. Enjoy the visit, welcome to the Holy Land.
