The story in the Forrest was magical for both kids and adults. Naturm was very charming and educational. Beautiful nature and very well organised trails and amenities.

Beautiful park, nice activities for kids, walking paradise. Even nice in the winter but should be beautiful in spring.

Beautiful scenery, competely quiet, relaxing. Only it takes long time since you are walking on planks a lot of time so do not do it during winter when days are short.

Visited with 4 persons; myself, my wife, 4 year old kid and a baby (carried in my backpack). There's a plethora of hiking trails to choose from. We selected the 12km round around the lake. It was a marvelous trip. Theres lots of information signs at various locations, as well as toilets, drinking water faucets, bird observation stations and numerous benches and picnic spots. The tracks are clearly indicated with clear sign posts. The tracks themselves are easy to traverse. Whenever there are peaty areas or soft loam, there are sturdy planks to keep your feet dry. Some advise; bring some insect repellent and/or cover any bare skin, as I found to my shame that otherwise the mosquitoes will eat you alive.

We stopped here on a roadtrip from Copenhagen to Stockholm. Beautiful nationalpark. We almost had the place to ourselves. Well maintained. Easy short or longer walks. So pleased we made a stop here.

We had a great time in the national park, we walked the big circle around the lake, as well as a smaller one in the south of the park. As this has been an extremely dry summer it might not have been the best timing for a proper wetland experience, but the landscape was gorgeous regardless. We got the opportunity to take a break from camping by renting a room in one of the cosy 18th century farmsteads. Our experience was really enhanced by the outstandingly friendly and enthusiastic staff of the Naturum visitor centre. They helped us with our tour planning, offered insightful conversations about the local wildlife, and even offered free tea and coffee (with locally produced honey!). A better way to experience Swedish hospitality does not exist. Besides this; the Naturum visitor's center is amazingly well done in its own; Very clear information and interesting facts about the ecological and geologic history of the area that offer cool new information to experts while being understandable and not too academic for laymen, all in a warm, cozy atmosphere (did I mention the free tea and coffee already?). Outstanding experience, would recommend.

Beautiful national park with forest, peat and pastures. I did a 20km hike around Kävsjön (lake) lake and to Svartgölen (lake), which was signposted so well that it was a little bit less of an adventure. Nevertheless, a good experience. Where the bog/peat is too wet, large parts are accessible using boardwalks and some parts are even wheelchair-accessible. Visitor center offers free coffee/water, toilets, and use of their permanent binoculars.

This huge mire teeming with birds and other wildlife offers great and varied hiking for even the more discerning nature lover. However, it is families with smallish kids who, in my opinion, get most out of the park. The excellent visitors center is staffed by knowledgeable people, always ready to go that extra mile to show visitors something new. There are are tinned of things for the kids to do, with arts and craft materials, binoculars and microscope ready to be used. Outside the visitors center a short kids trail start which is guided through a story book (free of charge) that in a brilliant watch teaches you kidsen about the local wildlife and ecology, while simultaneously encouraging their sense of exploration and curiosity.

This park was a great place to spend some time in the middle of summer. We spent the day hiking various areas of the park, and really enjoyed the small information building with a map where visitors could stick a pin wherever "home" was. We were the first visitors from WV that had placed a pin in the map. We enjoyed the bird watching tower, and various trails as well.

bonjour, y a t il des lieux pour camper?
Yes, if you go to our webbpage to visitorsa infromation and then Safety, rules and camping you can find the palces where you may camp in the National Park. You may also stay with a motorhome at the parkinglot at the main enterance.
