the watts marina is a great place to have any of your needs for boating storage, piers, or buying a boat.

Provide Golf Cart transportation from single car parking for senoirs would be great
although first sheriff said Golf Cart broke and second sheriff ( older heavy set gentleman) said Golf Carts are illegal. At least get your story straight and then he tells me maybe I need a handicap plackert and gives me a song and dance on their problems. Last thing you should be doing for upset customer of years launching our boat and for the first time having to leave early due to work, brought a second car.
Maybe a little empathy would of helped. Just ruid people.

Horrible. Had the Canvas Shop across the street drop off the pontoon boat for winterization and winter storage. Paid over the phone with credit card. They called 3 weeks ago to claim the boat is off storage and needs pick up. I explained that our pier wasn't in yet due to covid-19. The pier went in and I tried picking up the pontoon. They charged $920.00 for addional 46 days of storage @ $20.00 per day past April 30th. Had no idea that they had contract terms like this. Never saw or signed a contract with these terms. They extorted this amount in order to pick up my boat. The Fox Lake Police forced Ben Watts Marina to write on the contract that I refused to sign it and to release my boat. Owner went into details about his $150,000.00 tax bill trying to justify this bill. It is not my job to pay for Ben Watts taxes. I will now have to sue for this amount in small claims court.

My wife and I were looking for a place to launch our power-boat on the Chain of Lakes. We tried a few other spots only to find that they were run down, dirty or lacked adequate parking for boat trailers. And, we did not want to launch at the free public launch site in the State Park because of occasional reports of car break-ins. Ben Watts is the best launch spot on the Chain of Lakes that we have found. There are multiple ramps with docks. The ramps appear to go out quite far to accommodate large boats. When we were there an employee was at the ramps to help people with their launch process both going out and coming back in. There is plenty of convenient parking for vehicles with boat trailers near the ramp with only a modest walk to the ramp from the parking spot. The washrooms inside are clean and well-maintained. Daily launch fee is $20 and well worth it. The marina is located on Route 12 in the town of Fox Lake. My only minor issue is that the docks are fixed and are a bit high for those with smaller boats like ours. We had a pretty substantial reach to climb in and out from the dock. But it still worked. We were quite happy with our experience here and Im sure we will be back. This is a full service marina and they have a good assortment of boating supplies in the store.
