‪Goat farm experience great for kids‬
אוג׳ 2016 • משפחה
‪This site is fantastic for kids. Herding and milking goats, making fresh cheese, spinning and weaving, feeding the many animals on the farm (turtles, chickens, goats, birds, dogs), art projects. Great for multi-generational families as well as families with young kids and adults of all ages. Near the airport so can be visited upon arrival or the day of departure. Highly recommended.‬

‪You can herd the goats too!‬
אפר׳ 2016 • משפחה
‪This is not like a standard tourist attraction. The couple that run the place are real chill and laid back. It is run out of their backyard and then some. Like the other reviews state, there are all kinds of fowl and turtles running around. There are tons of goats and you do get to milk them if you want. Additionally, they let the goats out into the pasture and you get to herd them if you want! The cheese you get to make is fun too. Overall fun laid back experience for a family with young kids.‬

‪Great family program‬
אוג׳ 2015 • משפחה
‪They've got chickens and turtles running loose, goats to pet and milk, exotic birds in cages, etc. Then everyone takes the milk they just milked and makes cheese. If you've never made and tasted your own cheese, this is your opportunity. Appointments required as space is limited.‬

‪Really lovely place to visit with kids or teens who love animals‬
מרץ 2016 • משפחה
‪My daughter and I visited on the last day of our trip to Israel. We had made an appointment in advance. We were shown around the farm, and my daughter had the opportunity to hold a baby goat and bottle feed her, which was priceless. Additionally, we were shown how cheese is made and made small cheeses ourselves. Mostly the two people who run the farm are really kind and lovely and clearly care very much about the animals. In addition to goats, they have tortoises and parrots. Overalll, a very sweet place to visit. ‬

‪Good for the whole family‬
אפר׳ 2015 • משפחה
‪I have taken all my family to this lovely attraction. The owners explain everything from milking the goats to making cheese from the milk and we all had a hands on experience. From toddlers to adults it was a most enjoyable and interesting outing.
Minutes from the centre of Modiin. There is a small area with birds and tortoises too.‬

‪Fantastic day out!!!!‬
אוק׳ 2015 • משפחה
‪We visited Chai Goat Farm as a family with 2 young children. The experience was great from start to finish. We were made to feel very welcome and got to feed the goats, milk the goats, feed large tortoises, see a menagerie of beautiful birds, make cheese from the goats we'd just milked, spin wool, make ice cream and some more still!!!

Judy was excellent and very accommodating - expertly dealing with an obnoxious American family.

Fun was had by all. A real gem of a place and highly recommended!!!!!!‬

‪Chai Goat Farm: Excellent attraction for all ages!‬
יוני 2015 • משפחה
‪During our family vacation, we took our 3 children ages 23 months to 6 years. All three children had a spectacular time! All of the activities met the children at their own level, whether milking goats, shepherding goats, making cheese and the other crafts and activities. Even the parents could connect...especially with the wide variety of gourmet cheese that awaited us at the end of the program. Highly recommend!‬

‪Interesting Concept But Not Carried Out Well‬
‪Chai Farms advertises as a "farm" where kids can do everything from milking a goat to turning the milk into cheese. Located behind a house in a moshav, the "farm" consists of a large backyard with lots of cool stuff. The children technically did everything promised, it was just done in a smaller, less authentic scale. It would be like going to an amusement park and ending up at a small fair. The other comment is not meant to be harsh or unfair, but the owner is not terribly kid friendly. She didn't seem too thrilled with us, or too willing to go beyond the parameters she established for the tour. ‬

‪Biblical experience in modern israel‬
אוג׳ 2013 • משפחה
‪Chai Farm is a unique place in the world. It's as close as you could get to going back to the to Biblical days and experiencing what life in Biblical times must have been like. The farm is run by Judy and Shapir Avraham Chai -- two of the most unique and interesting people I have ever met. Shapir, born in India, came to Israel as a young boy and found his passion in the judean hills as goat farmer and Judy- who came to Israel in her twenties from England, found her passion living Biblical fashion rasing goats, making her own goat cheese, and living off the land. On the farm you will learn about the ancient Maccabees who hid out in the caves near the farm, the ancient jews who lived in Modin and about the community who started this Moshav together with the famous singing rabbi Shlomo Carlebach. You will also enjoy a home made meal of locally grown fruits and vegetables, hummus, tehina, fresh bread, home made olive oil, home made goat cheese and a variety of Israeli dairy specialties. Judy and Shapir are an inspiration and the farm is open to tourists of all ages. It is wheel chair accessible and is really well kept and clean and has a comfortable air conditioned visitors-room where we ate our delicious meal. The farm is open for bus groups and takes bookings for family events by appointment. We booked by calling Judy at: 0544283646 or if you are outside of Israel you can call the farm by dialing 972 8926468. I will never forget our experience there doing goat herding, milking, and cheese making. We also so enjoyed cheese tasting, olive pressing, spinning and weaving and seeing the Carlebach hand painted shul and ancient ruins from the Maccabee times - Also part of the funding goes to the farm charity where they distribute food and live stock to others new farmsteads. Highly recommend a visit to Chai Farm on you next visit to Israel.

‪WOW‬
יולי 2013
‪Many things to see in Israel, but if you want somewhere to go with the kids for a couple of hours then this is unmissable. A working farm with goats .....run by a charming couple.
You can milk the goats, make cheese with the milk, fed the chickens, herd the goats and visit the Carlebach Synagogue where the great cantor sang. The synagogue is decorated with murals.....it ain't the Sistine Chapel but really enjoyable....a visit that exceeded all our expectations!!! ‬

Thank you for writing a review on Trip Advisor about Chai Farm - Mevo Modiim the Carlebach Moshav. The farm tour is good for all ages and we are wheel chair accessible. The farm is centrally located between Jlm and Tlv and the air conditioned visitors room makes visiting the farm comfortable in all seasons. Our aim is to bring visitors an insight into Moshav life, Israel nature, goat farming and cheese making in particular. It is a hands on educational experience like no other. We appreciate reviews ideas any suggestions are welcome. Chai Farm bless tripadvisor travelers and Am Yisrael with a safe and enjoyable stay in Israel and a happy, healthy, peaceful and successful year to come and many fun trips to amazing and interesting locations.
