Yes, some bargains to be had, but you have to look hard. They call it Nordstrom Rack for a reason, it's stock they can't sell in their normal stores.
I have found over the years, the prices have been increasing and increasing with the quality of merchandise dropping.

The quality of both merchandise and personnel is vertiginously going down. The sales people taking care of the fitting room were not only unhelpful but also terribly rude. They treated the customers as a nuisance.

Bought an "Avec Les Filles" from Nordstrom Rack thinking the quality should at least be acceptable. I put it in the closest and only took it out after 6 weeks of wanting to try it out for the Fall season. To my horror, the coat fur looks "damaged". I took this to Nordstrom Rack Union Square where I bought it, and they refused to do anything about it because it's 4 days past their return policy.
What do they expect me to do? Itemize everything in my closet every day to make sure nothing gets damaged. That is not what normal people do when they buy clothing from retail stores. Nothing gets damaged in the closet, heck, I bet even Forever21 or Marshall isn't this low quality. The item is not even cheap. I've been a long-time member of Nordstrom, so I expect at least Nordstrom Rack has acceptable quality, but apparently I was wrong. It totally fine I'm unable to return this item, but I'll never come back to any Nordstrom Rack again.
If you buy anything from Rack, just make sure you check all the items within the return date, they may get damaged in the closet without you knowing, and they will shove you away when that happens.

I will never shop in this store again due to the terrible customer service we received. I spent 25 minutes at the register waiting for my receipt on over $700.00 of merchandise. The absolute unprofessional attitude and complete lack of knowledge or concern on the part of the cashier was unbelievable. At one point she asked if I really needed a receipt ‘cause I can’t get it to work’. There was no apology, no explanation, just a sullen look and a I could care less attitude. Her behavior was incredibly rude. I asked if she could ask for help and she finally called someone. I have her name and will be writing a letter to corporate. Completely unacceptable! I expect more from Nordstrom’s.

I think you have to be a fan of designer labels to shop here as - even after the savings were taken account of - the price was still quite expensive to us. Still, managed to find a couple of things so worth a look in.

If you are looking for a bargain and a way to have the designer looks without the designer pricetag, this store is meant for you......as long as you do not mind a little bit of scarcity when it comes to assistance in the store from associates. While I do like a bargain, and I do like to be left to shop at my leisure, I found that finding ANYONE to assist with questions and dressing rooms was a challenge here. I understand this is a large footprint for a store...but there were associates around....they were just not very focused on customer service. I still managed to drop a few hundred bucks here, but I definitely have better customer service experiences at Century 21.

Whenever I find myself in Union Square, I must go into Nordstrom Rack. They have a wide verity of clothes & shoes in all sizes & new stuff constantly keeps coming in. I don't always leave with merchandise only because I'm a very particular & careful shopper who has a limited space in her closet. I love that they have stuff for every pocket. My husband was with me once & found a phenomenal winter suit by Burberry- it was expensive even at half priced but worth buying. Last week I bought Tom Ford glasses that everybody compliments me on. With tax, I paid about $170 instead of 500. I bought booties, shirts - all really good quality & useful. They have beautiful dresses, jackets & coats in all price ranges & you can try then on in the fitting room . They have tailors as well. Also, if you buy something & go back to return it, not used with a receipt , no problem . The lines to the cash register can get long & annoying if you are in a rush.

We visit Nordstrom Rack Union Square every visit we make to New York City. It is much easier to shop than Century 21.
This is a great place to shop for shoes at big discounts. We have bought Nikes, ballet flats and boots all high quality at greatly reduced prices.
The clothes selection for both women and men are excellent. There are many designer brands here.
