This time we spent 4 days here. We come at least once/twice a year. Can not say enough great things about this place. Every single person is great. All of them. They are literally there to make sure you have the best experience, cater to your every wish and help you with whatever you need.

Settled in the Tuscan hills, a top golf location. One of the most difficult courses in Italy. The hilly terrain makes a golf cart almost a must.

This course is the most spectacular I have played so far in Europe. The views are incredible and the holes are challenging for the mid handicapper the highlight is the 9th and the18th to an island green from 150 feet. Make sure you straight or you get punished. Played 4 tildes
And each time got caught out The yardages need to be checked. Also the dogleg par 5 6th is a very challenging hole

Castelfalfi is advertised as a resort course, but it is really just a municipal golf course.
We got stuck with horrible rental clubs and higher prices than quoted when planned. The course is very hilly and some great views, but many holes are strangely designed - such as a double dogleg rising to a redan green up a cliff face.
As mentioned by another review, the locals seem to believe they can play the course any way they desire. We had a 3-some drop in front of us on the 17th hole after they had finished a hole on the front nine, then they took off to jump onto another hole after they completed the 18th. NO RANGERS ANYWHERE IN SIGHT!
If you can get a legit deal on this course, play it for the views but for heaven's sake do not pay the HUGE fees our party got stuck with
NOT WORTH 170 Euros!!

I have played golf all over the world. This is a VERY good course. The mountain course is a lot of fun to play. The greens and fairways are in great shape. Very nice rental clubs, pleasant staff. Nice practice range. New golf carts with excellent GPS (switch the distance to yards if you are not on the metric system..that took me a minute but, was worth it). Everything is very nice. When they get the new clubhouse built, this place will be somewhere I would want to spend even more time. FYI, they don’t open until 8 a.m. so, don’t show up early thinking you will jump out there early. Where else will you play where the waste areas are filled with Olive trees!

All the previous reviews are true, testing but fun course, pretty hard off the whites even for single handicappers, take a few more ball than usual. One issue was slow, play, there were too many what looked like hotel guests playing off the whites that couldn't hit ball 150 yards, which made for a painfully slow back nine both times we played. The course is too hard for non handicappers and they need a marshal to sort this out - then it would be perfection.

We played the 18 holes "mountain", it is breathtaking scenery, and only for that worth it ! It's a difficult and physical course (carts can help) and that makes it very challenging. The clubhouse is being built, but offers basics.

We have played golf here many times. Lake course 9 holes is fine to walk with a trolley or carry clubs if you are young enough and ideal in summer to play on their own. Mountain courses, 18 holes needs a buggy and will test even low handicap golfers.
The clubhouse and in fact all staff are very friendly and offer an ideal snack menu at the end of your round.
We will be back there again this summer.

We played Castelfalfi October 26th and enjoyed the course and the views from many of the tees and greens overlooking the course. The course is challenging for all players and would be a great place to play if you are staying in the area for a length of time. It may take a couple of rounds to learn the elevation changes and the layout but a good test. Rentals are excellent and the GPS in the carts are a help. If you have the time, the views of the course are great from the resort at the top of the hill. And if you wish to work on your game the practice area is excellent as well. Friendly and welcoming staff. Down sides are a lack of proper golf shop, and during our visit the greens were in fair shape due to the heat from the summer.
