Perfect after a beach session. Common Greek food but fast service. Eat almost feet on water enjoying the sea view

We liked Ganema beach after Vagia beach in the south of the island! Quiet and easy accessible. The road is perfect to go there !

Beautiful, natural beach with shade under the trees. The water was really clear and we had a lovely day at this beach. We went back there for sunset swims when it was a bit quieter and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Tatty and unwelcoming

We came down to Ganema beach in search of a swim and lunch at the tavern.
We didn’t stay long.
The entire place was tatty, unkempt and unwelcoming.
When we asked if we could have a drink at the Taverna the unsmiling couple sitting by the door didn’t speak - the lady just crossed her arms over her chest to indicate that they were closed.

Tropical colour, clear blue water...

Maybe the best beach of the island. It has everything that matters. Trees that offer you their shadow,sandy beach, clear fresh water! it's not far from the port and it's big enough not to seem crowded. Even when it's windy down town, here the sea will be serene because of its location. Don't forget to take water or food with you, cause there's no cantine. Go early enough (11 tops) to get a nice place under a tree!

Perfect for windy days

This a must go beach. It has golden sand, turquoise water and it’s big. You could find some shades under the trees if you get there early enough. There’s a snack bar next to the beach but it’s expensive. We paid 9€ for a small portion chicken club sandwich.

Windy no service beach

We came to this beach on the advice of the taxi driver. Too windy and not worth the ride. There is no service or shacks what so ever and only one taverna with horrifying service (the worst I have ever experienced in Greece - they basically asked us to leave). Not recommendable, especially the taverna.

We visited this beach on the recommendation of a taxi driver. The weather in livadi was very windy so the taxi driver said it would be better to go to the south coast. It was 13 euros from livadi to Ganema beach. It was well worth it . The bay was very calm so it was much better for swimming. There was a taverna on the beach but it was closed so it would be better taking your own refreshments. The beach was sandy in some areas but mainly pebbles. The water went deep as soon as you got in . There was a few nudist people on the beach but they were very discreet. I would definitely recommend this beach when the weather is windy

The perfect beach to chill

We loved it, the water, the mild weather, the remoteness of this beach. Highly recommended if you ever are on this part of this island.

Tranquility at its finest

Offers both sand and pebbles. Trees available for natural shade. Day we visited didn't have a lot of people. Beach was so calm, light breeze where you felt one with nature. There are nudists on the beach. Highly recommended for a relaxing and tranquil day
