‪Beautiful pavillon in neoclassical style with a stupendous view on the river Scheldt. Home to the Duke of d Ursel who also owned the nearby castle. In the park there is a self srvice cafeteria. Great place.‬

‪Notelaer is open again and hosts exhibitions‬
משפחה • יוני 2019
‪We recently walked there from the nearby castle (but you can also park near by). It’s however a pleasant walk of around a kilometre. The Notelaersdreef actually is a place where the owners of the nearby castle would go if they wanted to hunt on their property. It is open again after renovation and hosts exhibitions and a small bar. The garden has some statues and there at 5 tree-hung tents which apparently can be rented. Don’t miss going on the roof for a commanding view of the river Schelde.‬

‪Perfect pitstop for cyclists‬

‪Cycling the Scheldt is one of the best things you can imagine in Belgium. It's safe and fun, but not to be underestimated. Antwerp-Ghent may look like an easy job but it's not. Think more of something like 100 km. And then it's good to know, that you can take a rest in this nice historical setting. A luxury late 18th century hunting lodge with a panoramical view on the river. They have an audioguide leading you through all the rooms. The main one with a fantastic parquetry. At the end, you can climb the cupola and walk around for an outdoor view on the majestic river.
No wonder this building is one of the pearls of the heritage organization 'Stichting Vlaamse Erfgoed'.‬
