CDG is hands down the worst Airport in Europe. I tell myself every 10 years I'm never flying thru here again. Unorganized, rude, poorly labeled directions, chronic waiting due to inefficiencies. If you can avoid flying to, thru or out of CDG do it!!

We were in line over 1 hour and a half at Customs with either no or very little air conditioning. I’ve been at this airport before but have not experienced this long wait.

While being in Paris for some days already, I noticed that a lot of people are struggling about how to get to the hotel or city, which transport should they use etc. The best option I’ve found for myself is to travel by train and subway in city centre, but we will get to it. When you arrive, and if your hotel is located in airport area, use the airport shuttle bus which is free. There are 3 bus colors and each of them has their own routes - Pink, Black and Blue line. Black and Pink line goes to Rossypole hotel area. So if you don’t find your hotel in the list of where the bus goes, do not worry. E.g. I was staying in Crowne Plaza hotel but non of the shuttle busses stops there, Pink line bus stops at Novotel which is just across the street of Crowne Plaza. So it might take only a minute or 3min to walk to your hotel. In case you need to get to the city center, take any color of airport shuttle bus and go to Terminal 1,3 (terminal 1 & terminal 3 is the same). From there you can take the train or bus to the city center. If you decided to use train, choose the platform that is the second from ticket desk. When arriving to city center I would suggest you to download the paris metro app which I found pretty useful. Hope I could help you some how. Enjoy your travel! ✨🇫🇷
