We sailed with Relax Salina on their full day excursion to Panarea and Stromboli. We had such a wonderful day! Our day included 3 stops for swimming, in addition to a stop at each island to sight see/grab food (on your own). Not to mention the pasta & wine as we enjoyed the views of Stromboli erupting in the evening. Great views, good service, and informative insights on the Aeolians!

We took two of their boat trips from Salina: to Stromboli and around Salina itself. Very professional, spacious boats, flexible planning to take care of the weather. Exellent experiences, highly recommended

We finally made a family to visit our grandfather’s home island, Salina, and wanted to visit our grandmother’s island, Alicudi, and see Stromboli. The trip to Alicudi/Filicudi was great, especially since it was unusually hot and we whad the opportunity to swim in the crystal clear water five times. At almost nine hours, it was a lot of bang for the buck.
But our evening trip to Stromboli was truly outstanding! The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the volcano and the island culture. We had been told what to bring and the level of difficulty was accurately described (not long but steep and rocky. We had a 70-year-old and a nine-year-old, and it was difficult for them but doable). When we reached the viewing point, we were treated to eruptions about every 10 minutes. It was thrilling.
Both times, the crew was friendly and helpful.

There are several boat operators on Salina island but we selected Salina Relax. The captain of the boat, Simon, spoke English very well as he lived in Australia for a few years. Both the captain and the boat crew were very friendly and helpful with every passenger making ensure they enjoyed the cruise and the swimming experience at each of the beautiful spot. We ended up booking all our boat trips to Stromboli, Panarea, Filicudi and Alicudi with Salina Relax. I recommend this cruise operator.

I took two trips with this company. The first, around the island of Salina, was 5 star. Great boat, lots of swimming stops, excellent views and good crew. It was so good that I signed up for Ginostra and Stromboli. I wanted the tour where you watch the volcano eruptions from the boat, but that wasn’t available so the nice man running the stand talked me into the other one. I said I did not want to do trekking, and he assured me it was an easy 30 min walk each way with a guide. Just bring closed toe shoes, he said. Well. The guide announced it was 45 mins each way once we disembarked on Stromboli. We were not told to bring a backpack, food, lots of water, headlamp, hiking poles etc. (the younger people did fine without). It was a massive ascent with loose rock, volcanic unstable steps and so on. Once we reached the viewing area, we dud get a nice volcanic show. But hiking back in the dark was downright dangerous for me. I fell once and tweaked my knee. Bottom line: the excursion was fun for those who knew what they were signing up for. For the rest—and there were many of us— the difficulty was seriously underplayed by the ticket salesman. I am lucky I didn’t do more damage and angry at the tour operators. You’ve been warned!

We booked a trip to Panarea and Stromboli through a tour company that used Salina Relax boats. From the moment that we arrived at the port, the staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful (even before the boat arrived when I was communicating with the local contact). The boat left on time, around 2pm, and made our way to Panarea, with a short stop (15-20mins) to swim in the sea. When we arrived, we had around 1hr on Panarea to explore. There are some electric taxis (more like golf carts) waiting near the harbour which you can hire to see some more of the island.
After we left Panarea, we headed towards Stromboli with another stop for swimming. When we were almost at Stromboli, we had the most wonderful surprise of having dolphins appear alongside us, the captain did stop the boat for a few minutes so we could see the dolphins and watch them play and swim alongside the boat. When we arrived at Stromboli, we had approximately 1.5-2hrs to explore and have dinner. If you wanted, you could have dinner with the boat crew, they do come round throughout the journey to ask if you're interested in joining them.
When we got back on the boat, we sailed round to the other side of Stromboli and moored up for a while as the sun was going down and were lucky enough to see a few small eruptions from Stromboli. it was really quite lovely to watch as the sun was going down. After that, we made our way back to Salina, the crew came round with some wine and music playing, there was a really fantastic atmosphere on the boat on the way back to Salina.
We arrived at Santa at around 11pm. There weren't any taxis waiting at the port, however, your hotel could book you a taxi if you needed to be collected. Failing that, ask at the little stand as when we enquired about what time we returned to the dock, the staff advised us that they had already arranged a taxi for other passengers to our hotel and we could share the ride.
After we left Panarea, we headed towards Stromboli with another stop for swimming. The experience covers a couple of different open ocean swims, a stop at Panarea, a stop at Stromboli, and a nighttime viewing of the volcano. It was really good, and the guys running the boat were both friendly and professional.
The boat ride is very relaxing in amazingly calm open ocean waters.
Definitely an experience I would recommend.

We were in wonderful hands when we took our our boat trip out to visit the wonderful Aeolian Islands with Salina Relax Boats. There was great communication whilst booking in the English language, the captain was very careful and competent and the worker onboard was very hospitable and informative. We were delighted with swims in the most beautiful places, volcano watching, island hopping and visiting all with good tips and information about each place. We will definitely book another trip with Salina Relax Boats! Thank you.

The boat was fine but they packed in too many people and the crew was rude. We were the only American's -- all others were Italian and the crew didn't speak English. Except when they called on of us "a dumb American". They also made fun of other guests. And they didn't warn anyone about the Medusa jelly fish that sting. So beautiful views and swimming spots but just not with these guys.

Wonderful day between Alicudi and Filicudi. We were able to swim and to visit the islands. The crew was very friendly and easy going. Vet recommended trip, whether with friends, family or partners!!

Siamo un gruppo di 4 adulti e 4 bambini di 9, 5, 4 e 1 anno.Saremo nella splendida Sicilia dal 4 al 10 agosto e vorremmo fare una gita nel pomeriggio e sera, per vedere più isole e soprattutto le eruzioni dello stromboli.

Ciao. I prezzi sono più o meno uguali per tutti gli operatori in zona. Una gita di una giornata con partenza attorno alle 10 del mattino e rientro a mezzanotte circa - Panarea & Stromboli - con spaghetti in barca costa 70 euro a testa. Accertati che si siano finalmente muniti di bancomat.

We will be in Salina from Sept. 15-18, 2017. We are interested in the doing the boat trip to Stromboli and climbing the volcano.
Is the trip on a daily basis?
Do we need to reserve ahead of time?
Rather than bringing hiking boots, we would like to rent them - is there a preferred vendor and do we need to reserve them.

Heading to Salina and Panerea February 20-March 2. I know this is the off season-What excursions can be in store? I think Stromboli is essential?
