‪Vey adventurous walk to the bridge. It was very interesting hiking through the ruins. Although it was a hot day and we had to walk up numerous steps. The views at the top were breathtaking.‬

‪Nice garden with an entrance of only 3 Euros.

Brings a nice bit history to the small town.

Would recommend for couples.‬

‪We found this attraction by accident and what a wonderful surprise. The admission price of 3 euros is the best value in Chiavenna. It is a cross between an open air museum full of interesting statues, fireplaces, millstones and other pieces of Italian history all set within a beautiful garden. It is steep so be warned if you are not up to a challenging walk. However, if you are, you will be rewarded at the top of the hill with the most gorgeous view down the Valchiavenna with the town laid out before you. Bring a picnic. A must visit attraction!‬

‪This is an odd sort of attraction, not a lot of particulars to describe but a very pleasant way to spend an hour. It is located on a crag at the southwest corner of Chiavenna. The crag is split into two parts by a huge cut that was formed when the area was mined by the Romans for "pot stone." This is a particular kind of stone that is very stable in extreme heat, and thus very useful for making cooking pots.

There is a path that winds up to the top of the taller part of the crag (lots and lots of steps). It is topped with some ruins from the middle ages. From there you see truly remarkable views of the surrounding valley and alps. Along the pathe, there are many interesting trees and plants, and many are clearly labeled with botanical names plus some description (in Italian). You then head down, cross a bridge over the cut, and come to another excellent viewpoint and some more ruins. You pass through a small cemetery, and then head out of the garden.

Not much to describe, but we really enjoyed our visit.‬
