It was a beautiful day, no cloud cover. The pitch was sandy, but in a good state.
At the end of his mark, the bowler gripped the ball in his hand, the season had begun well, he was a man on form, at the peak of his ability.
In front of the wickets stood his opponent, bat in hand, twitching nervously. Runs had been hard to find, the struggle was real. Form is temporary however, class is permanent. It was a battle, two worthy foes pitting their wits against each other, looking for the weakness to exploit.
The elegant run in commenced, an athlete in his prime, covering the ground like a racehorse sniffing victory. The ball was delivered and scythed through the air like a tracer bullet. The bat searched for ball and was left wanting.
The plastic stumps went in vastly different directions, the nails would have followed had there been any.
The eight year old batsgirl passed the bat begrudgingly to her twelve year old brother, while dad celebrated wildly.
And Mablethorpe beach was like Lords that day, or The Oval. After mum bowled the second over of the day with her mix of gentle pace and unorthodox spin, the picnic blanket heralded the lunch break.

Had a lovley day out here , the beach was very clean , plenty of family's enjoying the sun , but is wasn't crowded which was nice , great for dogs to also have a run about and paddle in the sea

we stopped off here while on a coach trip the beach is lovely and clean and nice for a day out plenty of places to get food and drink

The access to the beach is so hard me and a loved one fell down the concrete stairs avoid. I felt really unhappy it isn’t easy access and is not safe for tourists and locals alike

Absolutely love Mablethorpe beach. It’s spotlessly clean with lots of food places if you happen to want fish & chips, sweets, a cup of tea or coffee, donuts, ice cream etc. There are plenty of benches to relax on while watching the waves crashing or listening to the fair music just behind you. Dogs aren’t allowed on the main part of the beach between May and October but you can still let them run on the North End beach.

Clean and amazing sand. Wide expanse of beach. Few shells and no stones. This sand is perfect for building castles and walking barefoot. No litter on beach but the hedge/tree area you need to walk through at the Haven Golden sands side has a bit of
Litter. Sand train operates on the beach and the main pier area is well served for food and activities and coast guards etc. only downside to Mablethorpe is the charging of toilets. However for seaside toilets they are well maintained and clean and smell ok which is rare for seaside loos but I do feel for some people who just don’t have 40p on them or in their account or need the loo a lot. Dog friendly all year in some areas and seasonal in others on

Hi could anyone tell me how far down is the north beach where you can take dogs I understand you can’t take on the main busy part but I did wonder how far we would need to walk before we could go onto beach with dog also does anyone know if there any anywhere else you can take dogs and let off lead for a run our dog is a small westie he just trots along but likes his off lead time

It's not far at all. It is right over the dunes from the north end car park. Just a 3 minute walk.

I couldn’t see anything like that for hire, but we did hire one of the beach huts on the sea front off of the council for £15 for the whole day, that has chairs and bits in for you to use.

Work it out! First Sunday in August, hottest weekend of the year, closest beach to the East Midlands. Don’t think you will even get in the town to park! We even tried the normally quite beaches either side of Mablethorpe. Plenty of beach space but just couldn’t park anywhere.
Can u take dogs as well on the beach this weekend
