This cathedral is rather spare considering the beautiful colonial churches in Peru. It is big and very impressive from outside and welcoming inside. It needs to be appreciated from its historical role during the Pacific War.

That's the main catholic church of the city and, for sure, a good spot to visit, especially if you like going to buildings with nice architecture and investigate the history behind them.

This is a beautiful Cathedral and it was walking distance from my hotel. The boulevard on the way there is very nice and safe and they have shaded gazebos to rest along the way. I was in Tacna for business so I thought to step in and give thanks for the opportunities I get when I travel abroad.

Small and simple cathedral compared to the other amazing constructions in other cities in Perú.

Imposing cathedral for a smallish city, and an interesting anecdote is that it was designed by Gustave Eiffel of Paris in 1875 - yes, the same as Eiffel Tower. The Paseo Cívico in front of the cathedral is very nice, beautiful flowers & landscaping, palm trees.

The building anchors the main square with loud banners on the outside (when we were there) distracting from the beauty of the building. For Peru, it is a very nice religious structure that compares favorably to other small Peruvian towns.

Si hay restaurantes;karaoke ;disco y librerías abierta hasta las 21 ..tenemos 2 horas de diferencia en ta na son 2 horas menos no es un gran cuidad.. Son lugares acotados
