‪The city tour is ideal to visit these remains as they are truly out of town. Accross the small Museum, there is an old bridge made of ropes and wooden planks. Scary but fun to walk accross. Impressive background and worth a visit. ‬

‪A cool place to stop: near Tacna, cheap to get into the local museum and the bridge is a nice experience for the kids. Petroglyphs are ancient history books! :)‬

‪If you live by the beach and/or in a lush city, then this will blow your mind. You are right in the middle of the desert and the history of this petroglyphs just make you think about how old this area and tacna is. really amazing. The sun was beaming strongly but we still went for a long walk. Shame I had to be the translator for my english speaking friends because it detracted from my own experience.
If you are ever in Tacna, this is one of the very few places worth visiting.‬
