My wife & me decided to chill out after our elder son's wedding. We started exploring various places on net with a rider that travel time should be short & sweet. We homed on Ganga Kutir, Raichak which is around 60 Kms from Kolkata towards south. We drove down on 22 Apr 2019 after breakfast, enroute we enjoyed tea with sumptuous hot singara(bengali samosa) ahead of Amtala & reached the resort around 1230h after a cool drive! Check in was smooth. Duplex room beside the pool was lovely. Well kept room with good amenities. Room service & restaurant service was excellent. Spent next three days in total bliss with early morning walk on the banks of the Ganges seeing fishermen coming back with their catches, reading newspaper outdoor, reading various books in their well stocked & designed library, swimming in the room pool/infinity pool during sunset..just too good...they have a well stocked bar with a lovely view of the Ganges at 1st floor Overall stay was very comfortable with friendly staff & ofcourse the ever smiling Resort Manager. It was value for money. Booked through booking.com.All the tiredness of wedding preparations just vanished!!…
